Any dent in sales will be absolutely minuscule. They game has build up a huge fan base from the footage released so far.
This article is stupid as it seems to show a belief that people will see information about next gen consoles and suddenly forsake the games they want for current gen systems.
As you say, it will overshadow the release, but I see it having almost no effect on the sales.
I haven't played the game, so I can't really make an input as to the final game. But if it is anything like the demo then I would have to say that the Metacritic rating is too high.

You realise that you are only supposed to write a spoiler message in capitals because it draws the reader's attention.
Writing the spoiler below it, also in capitals, kinda defeats that purpose as it makes it very unavoidable.
In the first Dragon Age there were at least 3 proper dragon fights (that I know of), and a hell of a lot of drakes.
I can't say about Dragon Age 2 though as I hated that game after playing the demo.
But my point is that the dragon in the name is still apt.

I can understand you not understanding the plot to FF13-2 as that was just a mess but if you didn't understand the plot to 13, which was actually quite good, then you either didn't get close to finishing the game or are a bit simple.
Every aspect of it's plot is made very understandable as the game goes on.
