I own it for the PS4 and the aiming in multiplayer was always a bit frustrating in a way that it's not in BF4 and CoD. I always found it sluggish in comparison. And as for 30fps- there's a reason that most of the best FPS games play at a smooth 60, especially in multiplayer. The extra frames definitely make things more responsive when a tenth of a second counts. In Destiny single player this generally didn't jump out at me because it moves slower in comparison to playing against p...
Agree with what a lot have said here. Bought the game (Destiny) and played for a month. Probably made it 20 hours and just found it pointless. Also don't understand some of the comments about the controls being awesome. I found them alright for single player but the combination of the aiming/30fps framerate was too sloppy for multiplayer in the Crucible for me.
The PS4 is a more powerful machine, but in the end, the only question worth arguing over is whether the games are fun?
I wish MS would just take off it's PR mask and sell us on some really dope games without trying defend their hardware with spin tactics or glossing over the truth. It can be done.
In 15 years Call of Duty will be on this list- they'll be bringing CoD4 back as a download-only classic on the PS6 and XBox Three.
@Talon
I'm with you- an a la carte option would be awesome and something I would totally support. Cable co's need to see that there's enough demand for this for any change to happen.
Live/curated TV over IP - if Sony can pull this off, it will be a big step forward in content distribution. Trying to get cable networks, studios, etc. on the same page is difficult, so hat off if they come through on this.
Yeah, I can't even be mad at him. He turned the whole thing into an attraction. Twitch will have to decide if any violation of terms should be punished.
This thing is already 1080p60 capable if the consoles are any indication. If the CPU and video are both upgradeable, this thing could be a really good long term buy.
Doubtful that it will underperform. As others have pointed out, the video card alone makes it worth the price because it's much faster than what either of the consoles have built in.
And vsync lag is really easy to eliminate. You open the console in your game and set the max FPS draw to 58 or 59. Problem solved. I play BF4 on a gaming machine hooked up to my tv with no lag using that. Doesn't mean I don't want a console, but let's not kid ourselves- the "...
Microsoft has had it's foot permanently stuck in its mouth since launch. They're making people hate them as a company and selling a less capable machine at a higher price. Those two reasons alone are most of their problem. If they hadn't made so many PR gaffes articles like this wouldn't be written.
I stopped reading at "ima keep my pimp hand strong". I get your point though, haha.
Hate to say it but what some of the PC guys here are saying is probably right. The graphics are more about scale and size than detail. I found it kind of bland looking (even on ultra) on the PC- BF4 is a much better balance of high detail and grand scale. Let's hope they don't decide to have tons of microtransactions too. Graphics aren't everything.
Umm, you can build a gaming machine for $500-600 that will match current consoles. Stock cooling and no lighting. $1799? No thanks.
Maybe they should make the server apps for these games compatible with desktop PC's, and then at the end of the support schedule, release the app with disclaimers that the normal support agreement no longer applies, but players are free to organize servers and run them as they see fit.
If the accuracy is good enough this'll make FPS unfair for people playing with a controller. What they don't seem to have addressed is VSYNC lag. Any game without a hard framerate limit around 60 will have inaccurate controls. This was the problem with the few PS3 games that supported mouse/KB. This gen may be different though, as most of the games run at a fairly stable 60.

Informed Gamer: "Haven't you been saying this since 1998?"
I wish they'd give this comparison a rest already because we're talking about two different sets of gamers. A console gamer is considerably more focused on graphics and scale than a smartphone gamer. Whoever mentioned smartphones hurting PC gaming is half right. Smartphone gaming may pull away some of the folks that would play lig...
I would only support this lawsuit if it were modified to be levied at EA only, and NOT at DICE. DICE stands to gain nothing from having their reputation dragged through the mud by releasing a premature product. I'm not willing to participate in essentially throwing them under the bus for trying to comply with what in the end is solely EA's release schedule. If anyone has any evidence that the developer is at fault in this situation, I'm all ears.

"Jankiest". I LOL'ed just now.
You guys/girls hear about this? It's possible
EA may not have been completely within the law in their haste to ship BF4 and show it off to investors:
