I want to be able to stream games I own from the ps3 to ps4. It's better than the alternative of rebuying old games. That's not the solution to BC i was hoping for.
And when the guy is literally peering over your monitor looking at you? That's when you catch him during his next bathroom break and ask him to kindly keep it down...;)
Nice! I so want a Wii U.
Excerpt from the comments over at Forbes that I think sums up the outlook of the next gen battleground. ShadowOfTheVoid writes:
"By looking at historical trends, we can see that things like price, release timing, games, regional trends, and marketing are the primary factors determining how well a system will perform. For the eighth generation, Sony has positioned themselves very strongly. The PS4 is launching in the same holiday as the XBO, it has a lower price than the ...
Isn't it about time for you to upgrade your rig again?
Booooooo. Where the sex cards at?
hope it works. My PC may not be godly, but I know it can kick dx9/10 in the butt. Hope this works.
"The reason Activision isn't confirming anything is because it would be admitting that the XBone version is inferior..."
I think you nailed it in the first line. CoD is the #1 pre-ordered game for next gen. The Xbone version having more pre-orders than the PS4 version. I'm sure neither Activision nor MS want a single one of those canceled over this announcement. At launch those could easily be equated to console sales.
CoD is a game that'...
F this Europe stuff bro!
I WANT THIS! GIMME DA GOODS SONY! USA BOUGHT THIS GAME TOO!
It's funnier when you realize he submitted the article.
WD still hasn't sold me yet, but I'm right there with you for everything else!
Would be nice if we could do the whole "put in your PS3 disc and buy the PS4 version at a discount" thing.
But hey, they know the PS4 is BARREN when it comes to fighting games out the gate. Know a lot of us are sitting here with fight sticks getting dusty, fiending for some combo goodness on it.
p.s. The inevitable head to heads KI and Injustice will bri...
Doin it right
While I'm a long time Sony fan, the best way to know what you want is as you said, gameplay. My brother's going xbox because he just likes their controller and suspects CoD to still play best there. People like what they like. (I do think MS has the better launch line-up though. Def going to his house to play some KI at launch =p)
No way they can sustain such a rule forever. If I was a dev I'd demand more money till they stopped this. Or bought my game. I don't think devs really NEED x1 at this point, and if they wanted, could just abandon it till they cut this shit out. It didn't happen last gen, but hopefully this is a bigger deal to everyone now.
I know that's right!
It's not that my pc couldn't handle it. My point was more about PS+ and the value proposition.
we've seen many articles showing that it's the shithouse bargain PC market that is contracting due to tablets and what not, not the enthusiast market.
(Almost) no studio cares for the enthusiast PC market except for those that get moneyhatted by Nvidia to implement proprietary eye candy.
Diablo 3, Left4Dead, League of Legends, DOTA,...
That graphics card is laughable compared to what Next gen will do with their cards and 4-7 GBs of RAM. No BD drive, KB/M or HDMI-in.
This is what Timothy Lottes (Epic Games) said about PS4:
" The real reason to get excited about a PS4 is what Sony as a company does with the OS and system libraries as a platform, and what this enables 1st party studios to do, when they make PS4-only games. If PS4 has a real-time OS, with a libGCM style low level access to the GPU, then the PS4 1st party games will be years ahead of the PC simply because it opens up what is possible on the GPU. Note this won't happe...
As someone that believed what he read on the interwebs about how hassle-free gaming on PC has become and spent $$$ to build a gaming PC, I have to disagree with you.
My PS3 with PS+ trumps my gaming PC so hard it's almost laughable that people suggest Steam is a valid alternative for the majority.

well the money I was willing to pay for this just shrunk drastically. This is your Backwards compatibility solution?
