The card in the 360 is unified, so i gues ATi was right when they said NVidia was going to unified pipe architecture, becuase it is more efficient than dedicated pipes. I guess the 360 GPU is pretty powerful.
i wish the 360 launch titles had an extra year of polish, but microsoft wanted to get a head start! You know that if the PS3 launched in spring of 2006 the polished launch titles would look like poor pc ports like the 360 launch. I think it will give motorstorm a run for the money, it is multi-platform (360/PS3) the engine is being co-developed by code masters and sony.
If the games look better congratulate the developers, because hardware wise they are about the same. Developers make the game not the console. If there is so called 'PS3 Magic' I would rephrase that to developer magic, because I think the developer of Motorstorm did hell of a job on that game, Not much going on in that game so they can push the limits with physics, textures, and draw distance. You are full of it! The first wave of 360 games was just a filler till the real, made for 360 games are published. That is a cheap way of doing it, i would have done so myself. They will find some glue that will screw modders up. Why can't they just play the 360 the way it was meant to be played.
