1080i and 1080p are the same resolution so it will not be upscaled. It will be native 1080p on tv's that allow it with VGA and component.
Anyone notice the 360 add-on hd-dvd drive is getting thousands of pre-orders and is ranked #2 behind world of warcraft expansion on amazon.com with the actual 360 at #12 and the 360 wireless controller at #14. LOL I guess there isn't a shortage of diodes for the microsoft hd-dvd players.
I hope microsoft tries to revive the home pc market with their own designed cpu based pc.

This in in development for the pc, 360, and ps3. Why is it listed only as ps3?
The PS3 has 256mb system memory and 256mb video memory, 360 of 512mb unified which means the 360 can use more ram for video than the ps3.
I knew the extra VRAM would make a difference, now let the flaming begin! Because you know what console has 256mb of VRAM! Everyone know this game couldn't run on it, it would bring it to it's knees in agony, probably overheat and burn my burgers! 360>PS3
They will have unified architecture like the 360, because it is more powerful and more efficient. Plus that is where Vista really shines with the unified architecture, its really innovative and also that will make all future releases for vista alot easier to run on the 360 so more games. NVidia is coming out with the 8800, I don't know what ATI's VCard will be called.

Last time I checked most of the new games on the 360 looked better than the PS3's. I read several places that most of the launch games look like sh!t, except for 2. 360 is next-gen right now, by the time the PS3 comes out it will be last-gen. And with the PS3 having less memory than the 360, the 360 games will shine where the Ps3's doesn't. That is why RFOM is not in 1080p, because of memory limitations it is in 720p. By the way all the 360 games I have support 1080 resolutions, insomnia...

Sony has been talking about the next Playstation and they haven't even released this one. When designing hardware it is a long process and I am sure they probably started design the next xbox before the 360 was even out. That is the nature of the business.
Man the PS3 sucks, it isn't all it ws supposed to be. I gues Microsoft beat them at their own game, I have two 360's and yes they are that good.
RFOM would have looked twice as good with double the memory. GOW is icing on the cake and HALO 3 will blow everyone away visually. So will Alan Wake (not doable on PS3) Mass Effect, Lost Planet, COD3(looks better on the 360, from what I've read they call the PS3 version the ugly cousin)etc.... I can't believe the PS3 can even handle Oblivion what is it in 720 p as well? I play it in 1080 rez. LOL
I get to play Gears of War in 1080i, 1080p resolution, HAHAHAHAHAH, can't say the same for you and RFOM.
