Well is understandable, nobody is rushing them at all but maybe some of their fanbase might be looking forward to going HD soon and with only one HD consoles on the market now, the choice is very simple unless they do something about it.
This is arguable. Most people I know pick certain games and play online because of achievements so I don't think it really ruins the experience for them.

Well I dont know about Nintendo but maybe Microsoft isn't doing as well ? thats why they haven't said much. I could be wrong though.
