You missing the point. The price cut for Microsoft is excellent news. It will help them sell even more consoles. The point of this post is the response from the two other companies and they have both said no price drops now.

Well one thing is certain, people who were HARDCORE HD DVD supporters will not even need to know the specs of HD VMD to fully support it.

For Nintendo, I dont think they will be dropping the price anytime soon. I remember reading that, they were in fact kicking themselves for pricing the wii at $250 after it's success. And they are yet to announce new colors so no price drop soon.

Is been less than 3 years? since this gens gaming started and already devs are maxing out blu-ray's even with compression. Will be interesting to see what Microsoft does to fix the not enough space on dvd issue.
