Again, you’re looking at one thing, not the sum of the parts. Everything I’m saying is as a total, cohesive unit. By your logic you can have an incredible GPU and everything else can suck and it’ll all be alright. The SDD holds the data, but do you know how many working parts there are to make things look good, run good, sound good, stay stable, run the calculations of the various parts, put all of that in order, assign jobs to the other parts and how much it can handle and so on? Again, look...
Goes to show how ridiculously misinformed people can be and argue anyway. If you are one of the people that think the PS5s only advantages are load speeds and installs you should pack it up. This tech thing isn’t for you. There’s no secret sauce. This isn’t some cloud processing that people fell for hook, line, and sinker. When looking at the specs, stop looking at the single straight forward operation of any one part, like we did in the past with Tflops. Look at how everything works TOGETHER...
It’s amazing nobody is talking about something Cerny said. The Xbox for example loads an entire area, same as games today. It’s using power for things behind you, above you, and so on. Mountains, rivers, and so on. (Albeit at lower res textures sometimes) and your turn, travel, speed is perfectly balanced to give the game enough time to load in those textures, as you get closer or face that way. The PS5 is so fast that all that power you use on things you don’t see doesn’t have to happen here...
You got it wrong man. Microsoft is using almost all readily available parts. In order for ps to achieve its “dream” it went for the almost full custom parts to achieve it. Microsoft went all flops where Sony is going for a new experience with new techniques and amazing tech. The audio chip alone is incredible. Prices will be the same. I wouldn’t be shocked if the PS5 was more expensive.
Look. Microsoft went tried and true old school. High numbers yield high results. It’s straight forward and how things have always been. Tflops and clock rates. Done.
Mark my words, Sony will blow people away. So much is completely custom about every aspect of the machine and it’s all geared towards innovation. Even on paper the series X has bottlenecks. They made the PS5 to have virtually NONE. Every console generation has had them. There was a trade somewhere. We have 5 lane traffic...
I’ve got $120 burning a whole in my switch wallet for months. I played the demo on my PS4 and was really into but was discouraged about entering the series at part THREE. I saw there’s a little recap and all to get you up to speed but.... Anyway, you think this is a good place to enter? Or should I just start from the bargain bin at part 1?
Get back in there! Y’all not done! Where’s Shiva?! He’s not playable?!
Remember when Project Spark aimed to be a LBP and failed miserably? Media molecule can only be topped by media molecule.
That’s what I think it is. Spec ops. It was showing the airport level after all. At the same time those stages are pretty big and that’s a lot of wasted space. I could see them doing a 50 player BR on them. I think a lot of these battle Royal hopefuls are people that haven’t beaten the stages. You jumped out a plane on that stage.
One of my most anticipated games. Didn’t want to import so I’m waiting for the US version.
Oblivion is a dumbed down Morrowind. By far. The spell creation, soul gems, and enchantment system was on some of you think it and have the MP to cast it, have fun.
I had a spell that was so powerful I’d save the game before I used it just Incase there was unwanted collateral damage. Anyone I touch would take rainbow damage initially and over time, go into a rage and attack anyone near them. The kicker was that anyone within a radius of maybe 50 feet of that touched individual too...
Literally laughed out loud @LightningMonkey.
I just really hope they make the saves transferable between the PS4/Xbox versions to the inevitable PS5/Next Box definitive editions. That goes for all the big titles. Last of us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, all of it. Don’t make me start all over when I rebuy these games.
After supporting the game from beta, I simply couldn’t do it anymore been out the hearthstone game for a few years.
“Stop acting like a B$&@ Sora you whiny @&$”$?(!!!”
“But the keybl..”
“F@&$!!!! Get him the F$&@ away from me Donald! Goofy?! Get me a scotch please... if I don’t even myself out quick I’m going to tear this gummy ship the F@&: up!”
It’s ok to like something, company, person, whatever. It’s not ok to accept anything they do, say, put out, or give you and expect you to like/deal with it. Not everything the love of your life says will make you feel warm and fuzzy and you SHOULD call it and correct it or it will happen again. Doesn’t mean you don’t love em, just means that action wasn’t cool.
Microsoft, this action isn’t cool.
Devs were saying they have had PS5 dev kits for a looooong time and had yet to...
It’s the most ridiculous topic I’ve ever seen. You need exclusive experiences that show WHY this new hardware is what you need. Why you should invest in it early. Why you upgrading is worth it, even if for a glimpse of how it’ll be two years after that. Every generation had exclusives to showcase the new hardware. I won’t say it’s a MUST, but it can certainly only harm and not help by NOT having hardware defining games. I’ve heard “I’m not getting a $&@@ yet because I can get all those ga...
Sad but true.
I don’t care what anyone says, wayyy too much for a pad. The margin has to be through the roof. $125 max. To each their own, people spend on what they see value in. I fail to see that much value.
Metroid and Ecco? Well I guess Ecco is a swimming Metroid in a barely similar way.... Definitely want to see a trailer for this because a combination like that sounds like it can go either way.
