Nobody should have a problem with this. Quick resume is cool, gamepass is a good deal. Loads you up with games you won’t beat because we have low attention spans when faced with a lot of choice, and the other point he had is debatable, but ultimately his opinion. Seems like quick resume was the primary reason though.
I know I’m not one of them. Haven’t turned my switch on in about 3 months and I’ve got $120 or more sitting on the eshop. Can’t believe there’s been one Zelda, zero metroids, zero star foxes, zero F-Zeros, Zero Donkey Kongs, and Zero Punch Outs, and one and a half Mario karts. Will not have the upgrade system.

PS1 hands down. Besides the ones you hear about all the time there was beyond the beyond, legend of legaia, the suikoden series, Grandia, xenogears..... it’s literally a treasure trove.

Sadly your scenario does make sense as far as Microsoft games stand this far. Let’s be honest, they haven’t really released in house games at an alarming rate. Hell, there’s been barely any first party games per year for years. You think about gamepass like that and you’re over paying. How this game doesn’t run at 100 FPS is beyond me. Played it on series X and I’ll be damned if it isn’t the slowest most basic game I’ve played in a long time. I stopped playing on level 3 cause I just couldn’t take anymore. Doesn't change the fact it runs better on PS5, in fact it’s totally unrelated. For it to be the first 6 months I give the PS5 a solid A or A minus at the lowest. I think the PS5 gave everyone a solid introduction to next gen with Astro, the controller itself has been implemented in great ways, even for updated games like Warframe. The new interface is fast and efficient and new, and it’s a solid amount of next gen exclusive content to reach a variety of gamers. Crap... that knocks the hype down a peg. I know it’s hard to get a next gen console right now and it’s kind of selfish for me to feel the way do (because I got both day one) but damn I can’t help it. After playing returnal, seeing ratchet, and trying demon souls.... then playing everything else cross gen... it’s just a difference to real next gen. Ground up next gen. People need to realize something. If your ONLY next gen console is a series X/s it’s fine and it’s a good system. You have nothing to compare it to. Personally, I think this system shouldn’t exist. It should be series X and that’s it. This WILL hold series X exclusive first party games back. No doubt about it. They have to factor in the lowest common denominator. That doesn’t mean games will look like trash, there’s still amazing PS4 games coming out.
