That's addressed in the article. Many of their newer games are overhwlemed with technical hiccups due to the engine they're built around. These issues directly impact the QTE's, making them feel less engaging than they should. Hiccups, slowdown and overall choppiness have become the norm, and an overhauled engine would be the best remedy.
Here's hoping. It'd stink to see the upcoming Batman game gimped by an ancient framework.
Not sure if I'd call them great. They d-pad nearly feels as inefffective as the Sega Master System's. It's incredibly mushy and erratic. D-pad flaws aside they're great.'
Another great guide from GH.
The HRAP is pretty much the best line of sticks I've ever gotten my mitts on. Love them to death.
I know what you mean. I remember owning a wicked Mad Catz flight stick on the Genesis which I used to play F-22 Interceptor. The level of quality in that thing was insane. Here's hoping they come out on top.
I can see that - or Strider fused with Turrican. Either way, it looks like a good time.
I never had the chance to play the original, so I'm excited to dive into this when it lands on the PS4.
Grilled cheese is the physical manifestation of affection.
I'll definitely be making use of this.
I agree, but your entire comment really underscores the point I make in my piece, and that is that consumers should not buy these games and vote with their wallets if they want to see real change come from these publishers who pull these shifty tactics or deliver underdeveloped products.
That's definitely the best way to go about things.
I think the answer to that lies in when consumers finally say they've had enough and make it known by not buying into such garbage business practices.
I mean a juicy steak dinner would be nice.
Well, I'll definitely be digging into this today. Thanks, Johnny!
Definitely has a unique style, I'll give you that. Those fanged floaty sleeve-things look like they can do some damage!
I've waited forever to get my hands on this game, and while I know there are playable builds floating around, I can't wait to try it after the ones working on sprucing it up finish the job.
Those are all fine and well, but I still can't in good conscience recommend a game lacking so many of those things that should already be in the box. As it stands what's on offer is middling at best, and I feel consumers should send a message to Capcom (along with other devs) that they aren't glorified beta testers, and that their $60 deserves more than a pittance of undercooked modes and unstable servers.
Not a single person has complained about the visuals the engine provides - the issues with the stale engine are directly performance related, and those problems are prevalent in every recent release.
