I've met some good guys bit seen some folk killed in cold blood. Playing DayZ ain't half as hard as getting the game to work, that's more like the frigging Kripton factor, lol
Hardly surprising seeing as the UK is in a double dip recession. The worst since the 30s with folk having no pay rises for three-four years or being forced to work four day weeks. Most gamers are included in thissomewhere, from mom and dad having less cash to not earning enough tgemselces. Couple that with no good games out, the dry summer months (game wise lol) and it's no shock in all reality. A few AAA titles will do well at Christmas but that won't save the likes of Game imo.
Dayz is a good idea but very rough around the edges and a pain to get working, only really for the hardcore pc gamer. It's still in alpha so it will, slowly, get better. War z looks like it could be a great game, fully realised zombie apocalyptic nightmare. Bring it on.
It never impressed me, would rather have a vr headset. Now that would be cool.
I wish one of the big boys, ie MS or Sony would run with this. Imagine a 1080p screen and a next gen console game and a pair of these beasts. Wow!
Mind you, you would look like a prize dick lol.
Makes sense, it would of got battered coming out in September's. Rather liked the mp last time, helped by its mid summer budget release. Looking forward to the sequel.
Lol, that's the funniest thing I've read in ages. Thank you.
I can't see what the problem is, for someone like me that needs a new ps3 but plays more bluray than the odd exclusive game it more than makes sense.
Crysis 2 was a let down but Cryengine 3 can be used just like Unreal tech, who knows what other devs will come up with next gen.
As mentioned above, a pair of the ethernet power line plugs would have worked a treat and cost half the amount and taken five Mins to install. There's a lesson to be learned here somewhere.
Same shit, different day.
With the right down they must of saved a fortune in corporation tax on that 18 billion + revenue over the last three months, up 4% on the last quarter. Shares up 1.6% so I don't see MS going bust anytime soon. :)
Exactly why I kicked all those games into touch and got myself a pc. Games like Red Orchestra 2 offer a far superior fps experience.
And on pc I can play great games that aren't on PS3?
What a daft argument...
This is why I no longer play BF3.
Over high ticket counts, instant vehicle spawns or getting kicked if your doing to well etc etc. You can't find a Dice server, especially if your with mates, that's works.
So way to go EA/Dice, you ruined it because of greed.
While it's undoubtedly dated now, I still have a soft spot for MGS2. The hype before launch, playing the demo from the zone of enders game (nicked the disc out of the rental box) over and over to being late for work because I wanted to see the start screen return blue after the (soooo long) end credits. Always will be my favorite game, EVER!
And to think the sheep will pay through the nose for this suite!
Never seen a 3D tv I've liked, even at the Gadget Show in the UK. Be it movies or games, it's no more than a gimmick, the glasses are a pain and the 3DS gave me a headache. It's a resources hog for games, would rather they gave us true 1080p hd then mess with 3D.
Liked....
However I can't help feel it will be a disappointment, nothing will bring back the old Timesplitters feel of a lan party with friends. Games have moved on, grown up and Timesplitters is of a old skool, age. I'd rather remember the good times than some ham fisted remake.
What this guy fails to mention, after you've spent £20 on a game you probably didnt want, is that getting DayZ to run should be an Olympic discipline.
However once it is working and you've died a few times to get used to the mechanics it is simply brilliant. No other game is quite as tense or so darn harsh, no other game has so many unscripted random (re weird) moments in them. Well worth a look and I hope Rocket will base the new one on Arma 3!
