Idiot Sony bootlicker with no clue what he is talking about. 1080p by definition implies 1920x1080. 960x1080 is actually LESS than 720p in horizontal resolution. If it was 100x1080 would you still call it 1080p? Very naive.
1920x1080 = 2,073,600 pixels
960x1080 = 1,036,800 pixels
That is half the pixel count.
For comparison, 1280x720 = 921,600 pixels, the difference between 960x1080 and 1280x720 is a little over 10%.
For what is basically a glorified demo? yeah, that sounds about right.
It is just a converter, not an upscaler or filter, so it will not be 1080p. At best it will bring the PQ of LCDs to the level of a CRT.

Not even close. There are many other companies that are far worse than EA. Even as far as video game companies go, Activision is 10x worse. EA was quite bad 2-3 years ago but they have recently made some improvements, they even ditched online passes after enough gamers complained.

1080p implies 1080 lines of vertical resolution, regardless of screen size, which actually means the PPI (pixel density) varies greatly depending on screen size.
PPI of a 40" Tv screen at 1920x1080 = 55
PPI of a 5" Smartphone screen at 1280x720 = 293

That is an OEM copy, it can only be installed once, if the install facks up, you are screwed, if you change any major hardware like the CPU or Mobo, you are screwed. Also after a year or 2 the CD-key that it comes with will automatically glitch out and start telling you it is non-genuine, with no way to fix it. Retail copies of Win 7 Ultimate are still selling in some places for $499. A full copy of Mac OSX in comparison is around $35.

FFXIV was and still is one of the most demanding MMOs.
98% the same but clearly a bit more detail on the PC version. Foliage is slightly more detailed, distant water has more ripples and the bridge in the one pick had more moss around the bottom on the PC version.
resolution & framerates will also obviously be better on the PC. Highly unlikely the PS4 version will even maintain a consistant 1080/60 let alone 2560x1600 at 80+ fps.
Reminds me of when people thought we would have Avatar quality visuals on the PS4.
