because there's no texture "crushing" on my hd bravia + hdmi, i don't know what youre talking about. Plus i have brought my ps3 to my girls house on her hd toshiba and my friend's 1080p samsung which is bananas and the games look great on all of them.

you don't need a "$3000" gaming rig to play gears 1, come on, it's not crysis. This is the biggest myth perpetuated by console fanboys, that you need a super expensive computer. There are many options for putting together or buying a capable gaming pc these days. But you know what? ...at least i don't have to listen to annoying 13 year olds when im playing games via steam, so i prefer they stay on xbox live.

I'm a PS3 gamer, but i have been playing valve games for years on my pc and this move is bullshit. L4D just came out, im sorry you console only gamers don't understand, but valve has been good to us pc gamers for years. I feel like their jump to the 360 skewed their priorities with L4D2. This is clearly an expansion pack, no new engine, same graphics, just more missions with a set of new characters. They can't be serious.
you're paying for the miniaturization of the product. The extra $50 isn't so bad if you consider battery life and size factor.
MS should have gone the sony route and let you choose your own hard drive size for your own price. Their xbox hd's are overpriced and the capacity is dreadful. Sure, offer your own hard drives for the dummies who don't know any better, like how monster offers hdmi cables for $80. But let the wise find their own storage capacity.
Stop being such a fanboy troll. Because let's face it, the 360 has very few "true" exclusives, most of them come out for windows. Which means that any person who doesn't have a 360 and has a capable gaming card can play any game you can name (mass effect 2, halo series,left 4 dead <-which i have on steam, etc, even the 360 messiah alan wake). So i feel like you 360 owners have some insecurities about the PS3's exclusives.
I've wanted a portable for a while now. It was a tossup between the old psp or a dsi. I was leaning dsi but the games seemed too childish, there were a few games like chinatown wars, but not enough to convince me. The psp on the other hand was too bulky for my taste and the games were lacking, i was buying into the hype that the psp was dead from a third party perspective.
After peeping the sony presentation, the new metal gear, gt and little big planet. I'm aboard for a day one...
If i could duct tape together a makeshift shotgun and scan it in like the kid did with the skateboard i'm sold. I'll buy an xbox just to be able to do that.
Re5 was a dud to me, but i would buy it for wii, just like i bought Re4 wii edition so i could play it on my girlfriends wii. Strictly for the controls.
The thing about the Dirty Harry game is that those movies came out so long ago. If you look at the Godfather games, they're based on movies, and they're pretty damn good.
I shed a tear watching this. This is going to be an amazing game.
Played this demo last night, Three times! It's alot of fun, the graphics are sick. The gameplay is great. The story and karma system look like they could be alot of fun.
A few thoughts:
I hope the animation is better, his climbing animation was atrocious. Most of his animation was tight, but he looked so strange climbing up those elevated train beams. It's the demo, so i hope it's improved for the retail. Not a big issue.

fyi, im a ps3 owner, but my gf has a wii and she's dissapointed with the games, she plays my ps3 more than the wii. i happen to like the wii, i wish these developers would get off their asses and give us some classics.
I heard about this and prototype at the same time. At first, i was leaning towards prototype, but i just watched that 10 reasons you need prototype trailer and it looked sloppy and unrefined imo. This seems to have alot more going for it. I'll probably pick that one up too, but i feel like im going to buy this one first week.
I've been reading Lens of Truth for a while and lately the ps3 has been winning. This comparison is a throwback to 2007. I'll keep an eye out at my local rental spot and see this for myself.
If it's as bad as they say, then shame on the devs for this one. There's no excuse for putting out slime in 2009.
