i just ordered a copy for myself and my girl. She's been asking about this title, so i figure it's a late christmas/early valentines gift. This is a steal!
KZ2 is more tactical, you have to think and plan ahead. It's useless to camp. You actually have to earn your rank and every ribbon, medal and online trophy brings a level of satisfaction not found in MW2.
I'm about to play the campaign again. After months of neglecting this game, i decided to dust it off. Ive been playing multiplayer for two weeks straight and enjoying the hell out of it. KZ2 was the first game i bought for ps3 and i have to say that of all the games i bought, i'm getting the most bang for my buck with this one.
Just played the demo,
Liked: the art direction, cg cutscenes. the controls and gameplay are a god of war ripoff no doubt, but it also made it easy to pick up, with minimal learning curve for anyone who is familiar with gow.
Disliked:
the cartoon/comic drawings, some of the enemy designs felt a bit generic.

you are living in 2006, i just played a three hour session of MW2 on my ps3 from noon to 3pm on a tuesday and had no issues finding full teams to play with. I have played cod4 and 5 on 360 and alot of the issues you described are present on live too.
...on pc right? where you have custom maps, custom mods, and the superior versions of both of those games right? you must be talking about pc.
It doesn't sound stupid to me, more like a homage to double dragon and final fight. If it plays well and has online and local coop I'll buy it.
Man PC gaming is overrated these days, the ps3 and 360 perform really well for what they are and you don't have to deal with upgrading, etc. A firmware update here and there and youre good to go. The main reason i pretty much abandoned pc gaming is because i work on a computer all day, so when i come home i like to recline on the couch, pop open a beer and game on my tv.
My all time favorite genesis game! This kept me glued to my tv as a kid. CLASSIC!!!
Day one purchase!!! I just hope it sells well, Killzone 2 didn't sell like it should have, I hope ps3 owners support this one, it's well deserved!

This is only my opinion, but I really think MS should have come up with an altogether new name for this device instead of slapping HD on at the end. Zune isn't a catchy or attractive name, doesn't MS use focus groups to find out this kind of stuff?
I understand the pros/cons of no career mode but honestly if PD wanted to include career mode and couldn't because of the umd, they should have made this a download only game with a larger file size to accommodate career mode.
