They said it would do that when the user update, but nintendo are stupid and fail to see that there is no need to update with a flashcart.
Oh, also, they won't do it because they can't, it's against the law.
Actually, Nintendo can't do that, it's against the law.
Even if they could do what they said, they said they would brick it upon update, but with a flashcart, there is no need to update ever.
This isn't gonna be GTA5, it's gonna be a spinoff like Vice City and San Andreas. GTA5 is years away and probably gonna be on the next consoles.
"Not to mention this will probably be known as illegal by the time Sony is done with GeoHotz."
You couldn't be more wrong. What is happening right now is exactly what happened with Apple. In the end, the jailbreaking of iphone/ipad/itouch became completely legal.
In the end, hacking the PS3 will be completely legal. By suing Geohot, Sony are following the same path as apple and digging their own graves.
They should have just ban...
They could, if they knew what he was working on. However, the fact he isn't telling and don't intend to release now is to make sure sony can't fix what they don't even know about.
Either that new exploit has always been there and sony fail to see it or it's been introduced in 3.56 and they still fail for introducing it and not seeing it.
I wished Nintendo would release Xenoblade and The Last Story stateside.
I would assume it wouldn't bother people here so much if pirates were to remain offline.
I have a ps3 on 3.60 and a ps3 on 3.55. Never got a warning email since the one on 3.55 never connected to internet nor was a internet connection set up.
So I play online on the 30+ retail games I purchased on my 3.60 and just play homebrew on my 3.55. Yeah, I enjoy my online play cheat free like the rest of you and buy all my games and I am also on PSN Pus

It'S always easier for hackers to do it a second time.
Also, I'd like to point out that 4-5 years without being hacked was a pretty long run. Most things get hacked within a year these days, Sony were just incredibly lucky, especially if the security was really like those hackers said.
Well, if you want to insult them, log on a public computer, make a new account and insult them to your heart content. HAving a different account with a different IP address then your other account (thus why you should log on another pc) means they can't trace you back to your other account.
Until step 4 happens, which is the ps3 being completely hacked again and sony having to repeat all 3 steps again.
Hey, I don't have a xbox live gold membership, so really, those point went to good use, got a lots of games. Microsoft can ban me if they want, don't care.
"The Rematch may be brutal"
For LG, it will be.
I'd rather pay 1.99$ for a character then pay 14.99$ in Call of duty for map packs that you shouldn't even have to pay for.
Good thing I am sane and don't play Call of Duty.
MLB 11: The Show and a few other games came with 3.56 and were made to work on 3.55 in a few hours.
So you guys are wrong, hackers can play any games on 3.55. Even games that aren't out and would requires higher firmware like 3.60, 4.00, 5.00 or even 232.00 could be made to work on 3.55.
In other words, hackers aren't missing out on anything as they can play every games.
It also works like that for PSP. GAmes that come out today and r...
Man, it can get better then this? This is awesome.
The Ps3 will save the world.
It only does everything, including saving the world.
GTA5 won't come out in 2012, in fact, it won't come out this generation. Everyone seems to forget that they are probably gonna do spinoffs like Vice City and San Andreas first. I assume they will keep GTA5 for the next gen.
I think Harvest Moon Twin Village is due to be announced. We all know it's coming, I mean, every harvest moon games have made it here.
It's on DS and the 3DS is coming soon, but that's not reason to leave it out.
Doesn't matter. None of those are ever gonna come out anyway. The 360 fanboys have to make up games that don't even exist to make their console look better.
"I would love for you to show me the penal code that denotes bricking your videogame system as against the law"
That's property damage, which is completely illegal.
Also, those wii bricks were obviously not intended and it only happened to very few people.
If bricking was legal, Sony and Microsoft would have done it as well by now.
