Anyway they invested over 150 million on the vita development. Even though they make money off of every vita sold they aren't going to turn profit until an estimated 3 year. Its like how the ps3 is profitable now but its still billions in the hole.

the vita is actually profitable. 3g model only cost $159.10 to produce. its priced at $299, so they're bringing in atleast $40-50 for every vita sold after all other fees are paid. but its not so much the price thats the issue, its content lol. Sony can very well pull it off but they need to bring in more value which they are working on. Now what does need a price drop is those memory cards.
Part of the reason games aren't amazing at launch is because new and unfimilar specs take time to get a grasp on. However according to the wii U rumored specs its basically a modern 360. Developers would have no problem maximizing performance on the wii u because they already did it on the older 360. Sorry bro but the Wii U is strong but its no revolution, ps3/vita and smartglass on 360 proves that.

Halo 4 will sell but that game alone isn't going to appeal to the masses like having a very diverse list of games. Sony has a ton for the family and hardcore alike. Halo 4 will only appeal to the Halo fans and even at that there's a lot of Halo fans skeptical on buying this game because its not a bungie game. Its was selling like crazy but they didn't start making money off the 3DS unless recently with the XL. They cut the production cost but increased the retail price to start making money again.

Did you see the Vit/ps3 LBP2 gamescom play through? It was like Sony wiped out a smelly 18 incher and shoved the whole mess up Nintendo's bum. If the wii U cost that much the ps3/vita combo will make the Wii U irrelevant day 1. All ps3 buyers have to do is grab a vita. While many people who don't own sited may get both. I mean for $100 more you get a controller you can play games on anywhere. Have to leave the Wii U tablet at home....
Actually Killzone I believe will be the Vita's defining moment in that department.

And with the LBP2 cross control feature it really does show that the ps3 and vita are capable of doing everything the wii U can do without taking a hit in performance. I guess it pay the vita has its own processor and gpu to help make this all possible.

Dude you also have some developers who say the opposite or give the impression of the opposite about the Wii-U. Remember nothing is final until launch. Remember when the ps3 was suppose to have 2 cells and a decent gpu and be capable of 120fps? I do and look what happened before they launched. 1 cell and the crappy RSX. Wait until launch before you start claiming fact. You can be very right but there's also a good chance your wrong or just over wanking the wii u.

The majority of people who own a vita are us college aged kids or older. I have the Zelda gold and black edition but finding people my age with a 3ds is really hard. Only middle and elementary school kids are walking around with one. When we first heard of how low vita sales where in comparison to the 3DS I didn't believe it because me and alot of the people I know into handheld gaming had a vita. But only me and 3 female students have a 3DS.
while you are right Sony is trying to turn back profit which they will do if they keep the Vita priced where its at. The tech used in the vita is much more powerful and costly then the 3ds and there for is sitting at the right price. the 3DS is a psp with twice the system ram and 3D. The 3DS was cheap to make day one and is nowhere near the value of the PS vita. Heck Nintendo should drop the price of both the 3DS and 3DS XL because those machines while fun are't worth their price tags.
