Yeah, except you have to wait 10 hours in game for your guildleve cooldown to be up. Enjoy standing around fishing for 10 hours straight. Oh wait, you can't do that because if you stay as one class for more than an hour, the fatigue system will set in and then you'll have to wait 2 more days for it to go down! Man, what a piece of shit system. This is possibly the most poorly designed game I've ever seen. But "just because it's Final Fantasy!" it'll sell millions...

The only people still excited for this game are the ones who haven't played the beta. I think what they are expecting from the game is SOOOOOO different from what it actually is. I know it was for me before I played the beta. Now it's possibly the most disappointed piece of crap I have ever played and I am so glad I didn't waste a cent on it. God damn it's bad. I feel sorry for everyone who pre-ordered the special edition and are getting all excited about it, then when they st...

Agreed. Portal is the only game I've been remotely interested in by Valve. Left 4 Dead is fun for a couple goes but all they seem to make is depressing shooter after depressing shooter. Hell, even portal is depressing but at least it's kinda fun.

Sounds like a joke. "Instead of making a game about sawing apart hordes of zombies with blood splattering everywhere, we were going to make a game about fairies!"

Oh no, but that's an evil release date, it's the day in 1698 when Salem, Massachusetts was founded. This game supports witchcraft.

I played the beta too, this game is shit. Square dropped the ball so much in the last 10 years I don't even care about their products anymore, I'm done. I suggest just publishing more games instead of developing them. Deus Ex and Dungeon Siege 3 seem like they will be much better than this shit.

Fantastic video. Never bought an MMO day one before, this will be the first.

I think that time came with Wrath of the Lich King. A lot of people left when they released that. If you think they have anywhere CLOSE to 11 million subscribers anymore you're sorely mistaken. That was at the height of its popularity about 2 and a half to 3 years ago and has steadily gone down since then. Sure, they are still making money but no where near what they were. The game is really showing its age and I don't think Cataclysm will revive it. It needs a complete graphics, game...

If you've actually played the beta you'd know this game is a bugged out piece of shit that's designed completely around wasting your time so they can get more money out of you in the long run. Skip it, trust me. I know there's a lot of Final Fantasy fanboys out there with special edition pre-orders and shit who think this is going to be the best game ever but do yourself a favour and cancel it. You are going to be SOOOOOOOO disappointed you have no idea.

I find it hilarious that people find this racist. Go to a black neighbourhood in America as a white guy and you'll get shot at regardless of whether or not you're a zombie.

Racism exists everywhere around the world and it sure the hell isn't isolated to only white people. If anything, white people are the least racist because they are always so scared of stepping on other races toes. There are always people at work who speak a different language gossiping and mock...

Except both of those suck. Diablo 3 will be Blizzard's first good game in a decade (hopefully). I wouldn't be surprised if Torchlight 3 came out first. For the size of the team they have, the speed and quality they make their games is amazing.

I think Final Fantasy XIV is up there too.

Too bad most of them are shooters. I like playing co-op with my girlfriend but she hates shooters. The only one she liked was Borderlands. Most RPGs with co-op are MMOs, or aren't same-screen (other than a few exceptions). I'm really looking forward to War in the North for this reason.

Plus, Guild Wars 2 has no monthly fees. That should be a deciding factor right away. I know a lot of WoW kids will be moving to The Old Republic since it's basically WoW in space with voice acting, but Guild Wars 2 (along with a few others) are taking a much more action oriented approach to combat and quests, meaning that the game wont be, you know, boring as hell and the only reason you play it is to get loot. It'll actually be FUN.

And the reason it has a lot of Dia...

Haha yeah, good news for the developers and publishers but for some reason game costs keep going up. Someone explain that to me. Most new games here are $70 now.

???

You obviously haven't played the beta. They let you do 10 sidequests (that take about 2 minutes each) every 10 hours IN GAME TIME. So within half an hour, you're done and can't do any more. You have to stay logged in for another 9 and a half hours standing around doing nothing but shitty crafting before you can even accept another quest. I don't doubt for a second that this is true.

Playing the beta, it's extremely evident that this entire game was based around wasting peoples time so they end up collecting more monthly fee checks in the long run, and this isn't even implemented. This game is a pile of shit. I feel sorry for all the PS3 fanboys who have pre-ordered this and convinced themselves that it'll be the best game in the world "because it's Final Fantasy" and "because it's a PS3 exclusive" (of course ignoring the obvious fa...

It's true. Most people pay like $600-700 for a PC anyway. With a few smart investments, you could easily use that $700 and maybe add a couple hundred to get a good enough PC to play any of today's games on max settings. Plus every new full priced game is $10 cheaper than console, plus Steam always has amazing deals, and there are tons of free or "pay what you want" games around as well as $2, $5, $10, $15, $20, etc games on PC. You will end up saving a fortune in the long ru...
