I've always said sumo digital would be a way to go for Sony because not only does it lock down Sackboy, but it also takes away some studios that help Microsoft. They've not only helped with crackdown 3, but also forza horizon and I believe a gears of War DLC. Plus some other exclusives for Sony.
It's because it was a free game with a relatively new formula and epic canceled all their current t projects and games at the time and focused all their resources on it.
It's a "partnership". You give and take in them and I'm pretty sure Sony can give them more than they can give Sony especially because Sony owns crunchyroll and funimation.
True, and I kinda want Sony to buy or create a good soley rpg studio too. They do have some rpgs, but not quite at the same level.
I've been saying that too. In fact a few times in the past few years the Microsoft investors were saying Xbox is bleeding money. On the other note, Sony is pretty strategic in their partnerships and they own a significant amount of anime and Manga now. They should invest in a publisher or a few studios that make anime games specifically.
And 2 billion of that was from lootboxes I bet.

I kinda hope sony buys lucid games just to have more games like this made by them. They are a studio of some pretty talented devs.
It really is and the duelsense makes it way more appealing. It's hard to explain but the handling and the way your controller feels when your cars is falling apart feels like your controller is falling apart too.
I've always wondered why sony didn't just throw a check at them especially now that they see the competition doing exactly that at anything that has a dev team.

I was literally about to download this game and replay it in a few days. That's awesome and I didn't know if they were just crunching away at ragnarock. Must be pretty close or confident though to do this so close to release.
I'd actually rather this game just like a dragon's dogma 2 (hopefully it happens) be released a couple years from now so they are next gen only and not cross gen garbage like cyberpunk.
