Well this was last year. A report saying earnings went down is not positive. I will say it does say that the expansion of game pass is helping Microsoft out though and it's true. Offering free games for a cheap subscription is a good thing for consumers but a bad thing for productivity.

Exactly, it's a pretty broad mechanic that a ton of games already have or are developing for right now. Now they have to go back to the drawing board to dumb their games down just to be legal or cough up a ton of dough just to release it.
I feel like a few things killed this game. One of those was the matchmaking issues that they had in the alpha and the beta. They didn't solve it and on launch day, I could never get a single matchmake done. I still had to play with the AI that doesn't do anything but follow you around like a dog.
In ten years I feel tencent will own stock in every gaming company.
The thing you guys don't seem to understand is everytime the investors get reports, it's almost always negative for Xbox. Eventually they might just shut it down. Look at Google stadia. Google could go buy Sony and Microsoft right now in one day and they just shut down stadia gaming studios. Also, look at Amazon. Exactly, it's a money pit. I remember investors of Microsoft were wondering a few years ago where their return was with Xbox. They probably barely made their investment in mojang, and all the other recent studios back and now they go and spend way more before they get a return. The guys in suits might get pissed pretty soon unless they they get paid.

Sounds like something Bethesda would do. It always seemed like they would work on the Xbox version of their games alongside the pc version and then after they announced they went gold, they'd pay like 3 devs to port it to PS in a few weeks.
I feel like this game would have seriously benefitted from less loading screens. I played it like a total of 5 or 6 times and 2 of those times I was stuck on infinite loading screens that I had to unplug my ps4 and rebuild the database for. The other few times it took like 15-20 min of loading screens, no joke to get into a single fight and then it wanst all that great.
On top of that, they really need to take away the "too far away from host" bs they had in place...

Pretty much. They had a supposed restrcutoring of their games and during that time they also had a ton of scandals going on with most of the top dogs in their company. Kinda weird that no one cares about it.
But I thought the Xbox was dominating in the UK. Lol on a serious note, ubisoft does need to evolve their structure a bit more. I feel like there whole year of holding back to redo some core features did absolutely nothing. Assassins creed is still the same boring game as odyssey.

Exactly, death threats and hacking is not a good thing for anyone regardless of what they promised and didn't deliver. It was a scummy business move, but it doesn't deserve this kind of negativity. Boycott the game until its fixed and don't pre-order next time, sure. But not this.
