Those issues are very common for large FPS game.Just make sure to report them an any other glitches and bugs you see.

@Wyvern That ram was from the reduction of the OS not the games.Once they let devs use a set amount of ram they can not take any back are the games will not work that use it.We have had two reduction to the OS footprint it started out near 100mb was reduced as ingame xmb update cameout.The second was a few months before Uncharted 2 came out.Its now down to around 60mb.Still twice the size of the 360 OS,any more reductions to the OS footprint will go to developers to further push the PS3.
Not really the pirates can normally get around it in hours.Some get hacked before the street date.It hurts those that buy it,not pirates.Its a stupid practice that does need to stop.I mean how many business hurt their customers just to inconvenience thieves.

Well a single knife cut could kill you no matter where it hits.but you would basically have to let it get infected and slowly kill you over quite some time.Hey maybe all the blades are dripping with some venom or poison so just a scratch will kill you.

Yea the seek time is pretty slow its the one fault in the PS3 BD drive.Higher speed drives will fix the issue but for now they just need to repeat the data multiple times on the disc.This way it can be found much quicker.However having the HDD means you can put that data their and not have to repeat it at all.An it is faster to access then having to use the repeating method.

@FragMnTagM 2x for Bluray is equal to 8x dvd.Except that Dvd speed is not constant.So for example 12xDVD drive reads at 12x at the outer part of the first layer then reads slower as it moves towards the center.An even slower on the second layer.While the Bluray is constant doesn't slow down even on the second layer.The truth is they are near equal if the game actually uses the full DvD.
I download extremely quick my PS3 died I had to install all 160 gigs on the new one and did so in that one day.So maybe its just your location has alot of traffic over the PSN.
Actually yes one has to be better.The systems are not equal so the games shouldn't be equal.PC gamers don't want their version equal to consoles.The more powerful console should always be the better of the two or the developers look bad.
@Death Its not blu ray thats to slow just the slow drive in the PS3.Bluray is actually able to be quite fast.So expect a 12x BD next gen to be plenty fast enough.
Actually they are still trying to reduce the OS footprint.However not for features,but for games the more memory they can give the developers the better they can make their games.I will always take better performing games over social feature so it great for me.

Yea the vita is very promising.An it does show the direction Sony is going.A development friendly system,with plenty of features built in.PS3 didn't even have in-game XMB when it came out.The OS was a memory hog and while its better now is still nearly twice the size of the 360 OS.This is whats been holding PSN back from CGC and a universal invite system.
1) It needs fixed if the player your knifing is up on something the animation doesn't kick in.It swings and cuts but doesn't kill,I hit a guy with the knife 4 times who was on a box and he turned and killed me.
