Besides Nintendo land, selling 2 milling of new super Mario Bros which is almost %50 of amount of Wii u owners have. So it is pretty safe that this game and zombie u pushed games, after all, people buy hardware for their offering of software, not "false demand"
Well. When new super Mario Bros, zombie u and Nintendo land helped the Wii u do better at launch than the 360/ps3 then no doubt games like 3d Mario land, donkey Kong and Wii fit, which all are multi million seller, will certainly move a lot of Wii u units.

But it's true, before you raise the "everybody get harassed online regardless of gender", just try lending your girlfriend/female friend the mic when you play any online game. The amount of "lol get back to da kitchen" and "I wanna f**k you" is staggering.

Actually the Wii U did pretty well at launch due to NSMBU, in fact it did better at it first 3-4 months than the 360/ps3.
The problem is after that, no games were released by Nintendo besides pikmin which doesn't have the same power to move units like their other IPs.
So it strongly proves that games will help it, but in the meantime it will sell poorly.
So they gonna take a "huge hit" when they will release 3d Mario land, DK tropical freeze and Wii fit in this holidays seasons?

I don't see that much of a problem since the new leadership managed to make two extremely successful platform of Wii and DS and the 3ds is doing very well too.
The problems with Wii u are:
1-price
2-lack of games
3-lack of a good marketing campaign.
This game is like heroin, you can't describe why it's so good and addicting unless you try it.
But remember, kids. Don't do drugs.
Get AA 1 on ds, or hell, get the iOS ones to get the taste of the games.
They're really good you won't be disappointed.

You know about the trollish "It has no games" that have been said to ps3 and 3ds on launch? Well this is even way more true to the Wii u right now, there is literally NO GAMES! after you buy the exclusives, which I could count them on my fingers, there is nothing to buy!!
