$100 a year?!?! WTF! If Microsoft increased the Live fee again I'd stop playing the 360 and wouldn't buy their next gen console. I know it's a rumor, but I could really see this happening.
What even sadder are the 360 numbers. They dropped again to 1k and are now back to fighting with the PS2 for the 6th spot.

Yeah, alot of people were mentioning how that 60k/34k/40k was still a lead in the US was enough to keep Sony back this year. Sony make those number up in Japan though. (Jan NPD difference-60k, Feb 40k, March 34k).

Yeah, sales have really been decreasing in the US. All consoles are losing a little stream there. Microsoft sold 371k for the month and the PS3 sold 337k (only a 34k difference). Hope things pick back up. Wonder what the picture looks like overall for gaming in other countries as well though.
Man, Sony has really been pumping out those exclusives lately. Can't wait to pick this up. Sounds great.

I use to buy so many games last gen (Ps2 era) when EB Games sold Sega games for two dollar each in a bin. Street Fighter 1 & 2 , Shinobi 3, Aladdin, Eternal Champion, etc. I was in heaven. Pretty cool to see the same happening with the PSX.
Idk, it seems like it kinda is Thillr. It's not really getting the recognition it deserves. Infamous always pops up whenever someone talks about Prototype in general.
Wesker, Jr. and Sherry showing up after being practically non existent for years (Resident Evil games after RE2) were the things that really threw me after watching the trailer. I don't know where Capcom is taking this RE but it should be interesting to see where.

Skype is also coming to the Vita at the end of this month and there are plenty of games out now for the Vita and a couple of great ones releasing later in the year.

Demon Souls sold 1.57 million copies.
Yakuza 3 sold 1.03 million.
Valkyria Chronicles sold 1.03 million

These type of games do sell well outside of Japan you know.

I'd have to say Kinect: Star Wars was the most disappointing game for me this year. The devs really psyched me out with their claims of accuracy and light saber goodness. The game had way too many dance sequences happening in the middle of battles lol.
I gotta admit, this list is pretty bad. Almost all of the games on there are XBLA games or multiplatform. MS really needs to invest in something other than Kinect for their hardcore audience.

That all depends on whether VGchartz is legitimate today lol. But yeah, the PS3 had to sell pretty well to catch up so fast and so early in the year. The NPD report had the PS3 at 337k for the month of March (back 34k from the 360) so I can see how they're catching up (The PS3 is selling more WW).
Nice to see Sony plug those exploits. Glad it back for the european gamers.
