I'm not sure how it can anything but a prequel. Say what you want about Mass Effect 3's ending, but it was very conclusive.
I agree that the period of history is interesting - and certainly don't dislike it "because it's America". I just didn't think the setting fitted what makes Assassins Creed games great - the tall buildings and stunning architecture.
That's a fair comment, it was certainly a change of pace. Just not my cup of tea.

Agree with this, zombies have been far too overused this generation, to the point that it's actually becoming annoying. I was a bit disappointed to hear the first bit of Sleeping Dogs DLC would be a zombie spin-off.
XCOM had the misfortune of coming out on the same day as Dishonored so I haven't tried it yet, but I definitely will give it a go.

I haven't played Resi 6 yet but it does seem like it's time for the Resident Evil franchise to finish now. At least for a while, anyway.

Seems too big a franchise to end that quickly, so I'd be surprised if this is true.
Big franchises like this tend to be killed off when they go downhill, but Revelations did very well sales-wise and I'm sure AC III will as well.

Super Mario Bros film is so bad its good.
I'm not much of a superhero fan but caught up on the Dark Night trilogy recently and was very impressed. Therefore I'd say Goyer is the best bet, if they can convince him to do it.
I wouldn't say it's a 'big mess', it's just evolving very quickly.
Not quite sure what the backlash was about. Sure, he made a bit of a u-turn, but what he says is true. Game development is all about learning from mistakes, which BioWare would do well to do with their next Mass Effect project.
