It runs From Software's own custom made engine. Obviously they would continue to develop their own in house engine as they develop future games. 100% you can expect the newest version of this engine to have aspects catered just for AC6.

This is a moronic conversation, file size is not a direct indicator of scope or size or performance of the game. File size mostly just represents texture/ cutscene/ and music/voice data. Not all games need the same amount of that, clever optimization, and use of shaders over textures can bring the file size down quite a bit.
Plus this AC game sure looks to rely more on shaders than giant texture files, which would result in less texture data needed.
