Exactly. Sony want everyone to have a PS4 in their house asap. That will keep the momentum up against Microsoft. Imagine the headlines. PS4 sells X amount over Xbox. Followed by even more Xbox is doomed articles. Sony is taking into account the gaming cultures obsession with sales data. Witch will be heavily in PS4's favor for the first year or so.
Xbox is going to try to artificially drum up demand by intentionally limiting the supply while Sony is taking the exac...
Microsoft is going to purposefully have a limited supply to increase demand. It's pretty common business practice.
So Nintendo has a product that they know people want and is intent to make a nice profit on it. So in essence they are like ever business ever. Crazy right.
Of course if you don't wanna pay 10 bucks for it you can always find it on ebay for $100 if you think that is a better deal.
In other news. Is Nathan Drake a racist for being white and killing lots and lots of non white people? Is Sony racist for casting a black man to voice Kratos then turning his skin white like Micheal Jackson? Probably. Parappa the Rapper seems pretty racist too. Why? Hell if I know. It's the internet I can write whatever I want. How many of the Wonderful 101 are not white? Answer. Not enough.
Scary movie is scary.
That will do Evil Dead... That will do.
Yes from this point onward technology will surly stand still and not continue to make strides. Why would the world ever need another gaming console when we have so clearly hit the technological peak. Oh yeah I forgot. Only and idiot would think that.
Sony put themselves in a lose lose situation. What they should have done is take the time to create an entirely new fighting mechanic. Not unlike Final Fantasy Dissidia. Something completely unique to the new franchise they were trying to create. The 1 hit super move mechanic is a tedious affair. Smash Bros is a tense game of back and forth where you can win solely based on quick clever thinking. Not just staying away from a player when their meter fills up. The life percentage system i...
HOW DARE NINTENDO MAKE MONEY. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOOMED.
So sayeth the N$G community.
Yeah most companies don't. But on the Wii Nintendo did. They made money on every system sold. They whole way thorough to almost 100 million units. Nintendo made huge profits while Sony and Microsoft lost billions. But no one seems to remember that.
Money is money. It can come form a handheld or a home console but it's all the same to a business. Nintendo makes money on 3DS but loses money on Wii U while Sony makes money on PS3 and loses money on Vita. It's all relative.
Everyone here does realize that Naught Dog already stated that The Last of Us is going to be a new franchise. Being a franchise usually means there will be more than one. Yes there will be a sequel but next up for Naught Dog is Uncharted 4. Mark my words.
Yes. The 3DS did in fact need StarFox.
Who is living in the 90's again? Since the Nintendo Wii already handily beat the PS3.
Do me a favor. Next time you are in Gamestop ask them if they are still getting shipments of PS3's. You may be surprised by the answer.
Remember in Shadow of the Colossus when at the 11th hour it is revealed that you were the villain all along and you turn into a massive beast and begin killing the people that had come to stop you.
So in the end you start killing the people that are actually trying to save the world while you selfishly try and save the one person you care about the most and to hell with the consequences or the world for that matter.
Does this sound familiar to anyone else ...
If you think that the end of The Last of Us was something no other game/movie/book has ever done before then you need to read/watch/play more. In my previous post I listed all the obvious influences that Last of Us draws from. Also the end of The last Us was not interactive. It was a straight non-interactive cut scene. Half Life was interactive. So was Mass Effect. Even the most crucial moments of Bioshock to a much more ingenious degree. You watched the end of the Last of Us like any ...
All of the things you mentioned were done in Half Life 2 almost 10 years ago. Shadow of the Colossus also had it's gameplay drive its story all while using almost zero dialogue and what little there was was in an entirely made up language and still it had a deep emotional impact. Emotional cinematic storytelling had been used in almost every major AAA game ranging from Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite to the Mass Effect Trilogy and Naughty Dog's own Uncharted games just to name a few....
People forget why Citizen Kane is considered so revolutionary. It made innovations across the board to the art of film making. Most notably in cinematography. It changed the way movies were made and how they looked and pushed the medium forward in a way no other movie at the time had done. The Last of Us is a good game but is wholly unoriginal and cliche in far too many areas especially story (The Road), gameplay (Uncharted, Tomb Raider) and setting (I Am Legend) to ever be truly consider...
8 million subscribers at 15 a month is still crazy money. No executive in the world would ever say, Hey 8 million people are still willing to pay so lets start giving it away for free. They would be fired.
Cars sold north of 5 billion in merchandising alone. You may say it's rubbish but numbers don't lie.
