It hardly matters if the PS4 is more powerful. Games are developed to the lowest common denominator of hardware specs. They have to run on everything not just the most powerful hardware. Technically PS3 was far more powerful than the Xbox 360 but a majority of cross platform games looked far worse on the PS3. Only time will tell if there is a substantial difference between the two. But I would wager that the difference is going to be nominal at best.
Your right it was more like walking and gunning my way in. Then running out while gunning one person in a cutscene. That would be a bit more accurate.

You seem to think there is more money in smartphones then there really is. Nintendo needs to keep their IP's on their own systems. They stand to make much more money that way. Like adding a rail system where you can zip around the playfield and completely change up your play style and the way you plan your attacks. Yeah something that no other FPS had tried yet. That would be awesome.

And yet they have still lost billions every year. It's a hollow victory. One day people will realize that it's not about sales it's about profit. If Sony sells more systems but sells them at a huge loss they still lose.
