I just finished playing it a few weeks ago and I can tell you that while it's a pretty solid game, it definitely has its fair share of flaws. The controls take a bit to get used to and the combat is average at best but if you're looking for a strong narrative and character development, then you should definitely give this game a try. Honestly the PSP has a pretty decent library. I really think people need to give Sony a break over the PSP.

uuuumm...Batman, FF13, and Dead Space all sold better on the PS3 so this guy's argument isn't really true at all.
And even with games like Assassin's Creed, CoD4, Guitar Hero, etc. it's not like it's 90% 360 and 10% PS3...it's more like 60% 360 and 40% PS3 which is pretty good considering the fact that the 360 had a whole year head start and is 8 millions units ahead of the PS3.
Can't say I'm too surprised with GT's average score. I never really enjoyed the first Lost Planet and didn't really have high hopes for the 2nd one either.
This game seriously deserves all the praise it's been receiving and I hope it goes on to sell millions more. God of War 3, Uncharted2, and Mass Effect 2 are my favorite games this generation.
