I find it funny that the negativity around Gears 4 was that it played too safe and stuck too much to the Gears formula. Now Gears 5 does something new and now the comments are that its best when its just a Gears shooter.

I'm not saying you should exonerate them from their past sins, or even buy this game. But if EA is just doing this for good grace points then let them keep that up. And if they decide to add them a year later, the community should blast them again and not buy a sequel. But consumers need to show that we want to support games like Fallen Order vs Battlefront.

Literally almost every successful MP game adds new things over the course of its life. And they also typically add more than one map a year.
Hell, even its competitor PUBG has added more to it then Fortnite has.
I don't get why this is such a big deal... All they did was do a "public event" to announce and reveal a new map FINALLY. One new map in an entire year. No other MP game can get away with that, why do we put this game on a pedestal? Because its free?

If we want EA to get the hint, we have to acknowledge when they do something right. As well as call them out when they do something wrong. Battlefront 2 MT's gets a massive uproar, Fallen Order should get a GG for not having any. Its showing that the customers want games like Fallen Order.
I'm with you my guy. I really enjoyed the gunplay from the beta, and with the amount of modes, content, battle sizes, darker toned campaign etc. Its seeming like it may be one of the best CoDs since MW2/BLOPS1

As much as I love Fable, I dont want another studio getting locked down to a franchise. I'd rather have Playground make a new IP that defines them other than a Forza spin off and a Fable reboot.
In a years time I'm sure the X will drop to $299 - $350 and the Scarlet for $499. I dont think Sony or MS will launch at $599 especially when we look back at the PS3 launch. I'm also sure MS doesnt want to give the PS5 another leg up like the PS4 and let it be $100 cheaper.
Both companies take losses on new consoles so they can get them out the door and get people buying software and subscribing to services.
