Nearly every great artist learns his trade partly by studying (and yes, copying) the work of those who are better than him. One of the first practice exercises you'll do in a traditional drawing class is freehand copy another artists figure/still-life drawings.
Game level recreations like this are an incredibly helpful way of learning a complicated set of skills (asset creation, implementing them in-engine, lighting, post effects, etc.....
I definitely care about this release. I hope the demo is great and gives the game some deserved attention.
A Batman Beyond game could be so good >_<
Nice to see someone else being sensible. N4G can be so toxic with regards to these sort of things -__-
It's always weirdly disheartening to see so many people be against something that should be so simple and innocuous.
Oh but I forgot. It's ruining their games, apparently?
Deriviere's soundtracks are always amazing. Especially Remember Me's OST
What? Andromeda looks nothing like a PS3 era game.
Yes, some of the animations are bad. Yes, some of the textures are bad. But these screenshots are not representative of what the game looks like on average. For the most part, the game looks stunning. Graphics are not the problem with Andromeda.
Why do people resort to such hyperbole?
IMO it's a huge improvement over the original
Does finding this out really seriously affect the game in any way?? So many people here acting like this is the worst transgression Blizzard could have committed.
If this made someone with autism's day or feel more included...then... cool? right???
I can tell ya one thing: It won't look like that ugly ass picture
Yes! Finally some more news on this.
Uh.. It has nothing to do with texture resolution. Those shots are blurry because they are small portions of a screenshot blown up larger for the sake of screen resolution comparison. A 1080p screenshot has fewer pixels than an 1800p checkerboard screenshot so it can't be blown up quite as large without becoming blurry :)
Dead Space is a damn near perfect game. Still one of my all time favorites! Sadly, I never played RE4 but this article is making me consider it!
Hmm.. alright that makes sense. Thanks for the info :)
Glad to read this article. His perspective was level headed and respectful. As opposed to the original article he mentions, which was cringeworthy.
Am I missing something? Why did you get so many disagrees for that comment
Anyone know the answer to this: Why are frame-rates always locked at 30 or 60? If the game can hold a steady 45 fps... then why not give the option to lock it there? If the game is v-sync'd, shouldn't it not matter if the frame-rate is locked to something equal to or half the refresh rate?
Valid points. I guess I attribute her imperfections to realism + Krogan dad
I think she looks great. What makes you say that?
Edit: Also, Asari technically aren't gendered ;P
I'm honestly curious, do you know the amount of games being made with UE4? Abzu, Rite of Ilk, Obduction, Days Gone, Rime, Gears of War 4... All amazing looking titles. I don't get the hate 0_o
