It will probably play most multiplatform titles at 4k 60fps... as long as you play at settings similar to, or slightly above, the equivalent console settings lol
They're not mocking other developers. They're mocking gamers who lost their shit because some of Spiderman's puddles moved
Agreed. She says “What the hell is that?” as if she merely stepped in something gross lol
Dead Space! >_<
Ehh also it's the floating city of Columbia, not Victoria >_<
The first time I /played in WoW
Meh, I thought it added a fun level of unpredicatabilty and tension. To each their own
Oooo! Could be good. They're a talented team for sure
Oh come on... it literally takes an ounce of buyer discretion to avoid having this happen to you
To people saying "this shouldn't have happened" "they lied!" etc... this is the point of a public beta test >_< to get the current build of the game out there running on peoples actual machines, gather data on bugs, performance, everything and then optimize/fix it as much as they can before release. There's a reason why betas usually have a disclaimer about the game being subject to change.
To those asking "why didn't they just in...
Agreed. They turned every normal map up to 11, and a lot of those textures do not look PBR friendly.
@Neonridr
All totally valid points. I'm just saying it probably had less to do with switching to Unreal, and more to do with development/design decisions that were made.
Uhh I really don't think switching to Unreal Engine had anything to do with the game becoming 'more bland'. UE4 and Unity are both powerful, versatile game engines. Using one or the other would not impact the design of a game in the hands of a capable developer.
@antikbaka
That logic is just so nonsensical. Do you say that about everything people can't afford?
No, that is entirely your opinion and not “a fact”
Yes! Well said :)
I know this is the unpopular opinion, but would you want to limit what an art form can be about? Some games can be just fun, some can be smart and moving, and others can be somewhere in between.
Wahhh I want :(
Fall by the wayside*
And hmm, how many of those listed games have you played? I guess it's just gonna come down to a matter of opinion here. You should know, though, that gameplay has almost nothing to do with the engine itself. Gameplay is formed by developer ideas and their ability to implement those ideas. A game engine is just a tool, and UE4 is a powerful, intuitive, feature-rich tool at that. You probably associate it with vaporware titles because it's used so...
I know that. Current gen consoles (or atleast the Pro and Xbox one X) will play most upcoming titles at (likely) 30 FPS and use some form of temporal upscaling to achieve 4k-ish results. Whereas these cards will definitely achieve true 4K 60 FPS but probably not on max settings for all games. That’s all I meant.
