@TheCommentator that's untrue, it's an evolved Jaguar chip called PUMA. Look it up, it's still a simple laptop processor. I'm sorry to burst your console war dream but Desktop CPU's crap all over these low powered (slow) CPU's in these consoles. Play your games please, not the plastic boxes you worship. Be gamers, not corporate slaves.
Death, the most uninformed corporate slave and console fanboy I've seen on n4g. Spouts out $380 Million like he knows what it was used for.
Yes, we can point to PS Now as well being a way to get consumers to rent titles they may already own but the $380 million was not used to purchase Gaikai to solely create PS Now. The purchase of Gaikai was to create five services utilizing the technology from that company, one we have already been talking about...
Where's the outcry for us who have older consoles? I can't play my Wii, Wii U, Gamecube, N64, SNES, and NES games on my Switch? I keep all the devices I buy and pull them out my closet whenever I want.
If only there weren't any corporate slaves or console fanboys with an agenda fighting the imaginary console war, no one would care what feature a system had and just talkd about and played games instead. Play Games not the plastic boxes you worship, no corporatio...
Why would they announce this going multiplatform at the Sony E3 Conference? They mention in an updated tweet that they will be opening the Sony conference with the surprise announcement. Any person with any common sense would say them mentioning "We're Going multiplatform!" at the opening of Sony's E3 Conference sounds dumb, wouldn't make any sense whatsoever during that, is most likely CTR Remasters or the rumored second playable character. It may go multiplatform later...

Some here really need to drop their Console war arguments at the door and the necessary need to justify their plastic machine of choice. I'm a person that loves tech no matter the platform and just love games in general (especially retro stuff) and have no need to be a fanboy and worship an item I prefer or own, but it would benefit others to at least do a bit of digging before spouting off nonsense they don't understand.
Whenever I see people bring up backwards co...

That is all that needs to be explained.

@Death That last part was meekly an opinion but my comment was more towards showing the difference's between EA Access, PS+, and PS Now and which EA Access is like and isn't like PS Now. Apologies if you feel PS+ is not worth it, I have all three [PS] platforms for me to take advantage of the program. It's all opinion based of course, thought I'd pipe in to at least show that PS Now really should be part of this conversation as it's nothing like EA Access.
PS Now isn't like EA Acccess though, the uninformed people and those trying to justify wanting EA Access only bring it up.
Let's break this down so others can understand...
PS Now:
RENTAL SERVICE
Pay per title for a time frame (with prices dropping)
Games are streamed, never on hard drive
No subscription [at this time, they are looking at it]
No free games given out a m...
Actually, I have a guide in how to improve your battery life for the DS4 of anyone is having issues with their battery life.

Why does many here think the PS4 only supports a SATA II drive or only has a SATA II controller. The ultimate Faq by Sony? They mentioned the PS4 ships with a SATA II drive not that the PS4 has SATA II controller as it's SoC.
Simple research shows that the PS4 and Xbox 1 are both using the Kabini AMD chipset (or at least based off it on a custom level).
While the game did look Great, there were some cutbacks not mentioned by anyone except Digital Foundry who noticed A LOT.

I tried to do the tip this morning but was only available via the PS Forums. Now that PlayStation Lifestyle picked it up, thought I'd share again for you guys! Antonio = da1writer ;)!
It's extremely buried within the settings menu if you noticed. No one has reported this, no news sites, not even Neogaf. I found it and thought I'd share. I've reported to Dualshockers, Kotaku, PlayStation Lifestyle, ign, but I believe it's a bit too early or miniscule enough to not bother reporting. I found it helpful and so did a few of my Astro owning friends.
From a business perspective, Least likely they will allow BC on PS4, they would not be able to make any sort of money from doing so (which is their new focus now). PSNow will allow all to be able to rent PS3 games through their Netflix like streaming service, which is profitable but gives what a small percentage of gamers want.
With this in mind, More than likely Sony will also use an emulated environment to play PS1/PS2 games on PS4 aka digital classics from the PlayStation...
I really recommend many to check out jermgaming, he built a $500 rig that can go toe to toe with the Pro and Xbox One X just fine and hit 4K with similar compromises on some games as these Mid-Gen upgraded Consoles do.
You'd be surprised.
