Is there really a right answer here? Each are a personal preference but It really boils down to the games/genres you are interested in and your friends, correct? I guess if you have a Gaming PC your options are somewhat easier (in order to avoid redundancy, as owning both a Gaming PC and X1 doesn't make too much sense) as you can choose between two devices for their exclusive titles, PS4 and Switch, unless you want to own both.

What's funny is some of the later comments after yours are people (outside of slavish0) who don't remember this article below stating that if they switched to full dedicated Servers (not some dumb hybrid where a few items are on a single Dedicated Server) and offloaded some items on it (since its an online only game after all), game would hit 60fps easily.

I was thinking this was the ultimate goal eventually with them phasing out the PS3 and Vita titles on PS+, with PS4/5 titles eventually going away to combine PS+ and PS Now as one Service. Then you can boast a 20m+ members using the streaming services. Though yearly they offer $100 PS Now Year Membership, that means they would cut the price by $40, not sure if they are comfortable with that.
