This is the PSV game I'm most curious about because it's not just a PS3 port.
My roommate is obsessed with this series and is simultaneously down on Nintendo, so the recent news about 3DS made him unreasonably upset. He'll be happy to know he has an excuse to buy a new handheld now.
Damn. Man. My whole household was taking advantage of this. =( Ah, well...At least it won't apply retroactively.
Yikes, I hadn't been aware of this issue. I'll keep this in mind in case I run into it.
Shame that the premier Wii game and the premier 3DS game weren't ready for launch, huh?
Better late than never, I suppose...
Played the demo. Was so impressed. Had this come out earlier this year I would've bought it for sure. But right now's such a bad time, there's too many other high profile games.
Here's hoping that it'll still sell well. I still want to get it eventually, but prolly not for a while yet.
The hate on MW3 is that it's MW2 all over again - from what I have heard from multiple people.
What I don't like is seeing a single, uninspired franchise completely overtake and overshadow the industry, leading people to literally believe that a military shooter is the only game worth their time. That depresses me.
It would seem the ideal Grand Theft Auto game has been made.
Gotta love handy tips like these for these huge, intimidating games.
"you know what you are going to get before you set foot in the restaurant."
Yep. That sums it up. Nothing wrong with that. Except for when the userbase ONLY EATS that kind of food now.
Literally had some customers at GameStop today say, and I quote, "Call of Duty is the only game worth my time, Bro."
#facepalm
I've played (and reviewed) a couple Naruto games myself. My main issues with them is that they tend to be a little simplistic and one-button-mashing for my taste. The potential for deep fighting that feels different than most other fighters is there, I've just never seen it capitalized on.
Christ. I'm so sick of this nonsense. Generic military FPS multiplayer game 2011. And now there's TWO OF THEM instead of one, so there can be cross-company trash talking. Oy.
No disrespect to the people making these games - it's quality work - it's just so tiring to see Madden/FIFA/NBA/CoD being the big sellers year after year. I'd like to see more games with IMAGINATION in them selling this well, which is why I'm so glad Batman: Arkham City seems to b...
Glad to see Chrono Cross out there. I'll look forward to teasing myself with Rayman Origins, even though I can't buy it right now. =P
I really love the concept of this game and feel it's a great example of how games aren't stuck to being just "games" and can be more than that if we make them.
Someone get me more energy! I don't care HOW you get it!
Look. It's another GTA game. In a city. You'll probably shoot people and steal cars and have an open environment to run amuck in. Shocking revelatory trailer.
~wiggles finger with apathy~
This trailer did nothing to show me what will make GTA5 any different than every other game in the series - a series that generally can't maintain my interest for very long. There's so many sandbox games out there now, one needs to do something different thes...
My roommates mock every game that has Move support, but...if it's just an extra OPTION, I don't see the problem. I kind of stick to my Wii for motion gaming, but I like seeing the option get added, as I feel Move can provide more precision than the Kinect, which is more for wide-spread body movements than pinpoint accuracy.
I get so sick of this kind of "news" myself.
Or how about when any random detail is revealed for X big upcoming game, it gets its own news story. ie anything in Zelda: Skyward Sword. And I love Zelda. But any random details we learn about it are only considered "news" because enough people will click on it. Ironic given how Zelda, more than everything else, somehow, gets treated like any gameplay detail is a "spoiler" or some nonsense.
I've been criticizing many of these points myself for a while now, as someone who's been writing reviews for years. And I don't even have to deal with half of the BS in this article (review copies, worrying about metacritic, etc.) but you can see that they're there, and that they're problems.
This industry needs some transparency and openness, but the problem is that the consumer base has already built up a set of expectations so much that it'd be diff...
Cross-platform support FTW.
