I've been holding onto my copy of Arkham City just because it was one of my fav games of last year, but I've also been hoping for more single-player DLC.
As a big Smash fan who also likes a lot of Sony's IP, this could be pretty cool if it's real.
Aw, man. My roommate's been dying for a Monster Hunter game on Vita.
It feels like a Ninja Gaiden game at its core, except minus all of the redeeming qualities of Ninja Gaiden, such as, ya know...COMBOS? Or strategy? Or difficulty? Or different weapons?
They literally REMOVED features that were in Ninja Gaiden 2. REMOVED features. That's generally a big mistake in a sequel unless what's removed is replaced with something else - which it isn't here.
@NYC
This.
Hey, guys, guess what?
This same thing used to happen on SNES games.
Except back then it was NEVER finished, at all, or made accessible in any normal way. You needed a Game Genie to access it.
I won't try defending Capcom or not, because I'm not going to be an ignorant whiner OR a fanboy and pretend like I understand their position. What I DO know is that there's a lot more to game development than many ...
Not a big fan of this series in particular but I enjoy its silliness from a distance. Westernizing it a bit (but not TOO much) could potentially get me to give it a second earnest chance.
I tend to prefer multiplayer DLC because I get more value out of it, BUT with Assassin's Creed, single player DLC is much preferred.
"I’m gonna make spaghetti and maybe by the time I’m finished, this guy’ll be done doing his endless juggle combo on me."
That's pretty much why I like stuff like SSF4 more than this game and why I basically only play online against personal friends now. >_> I like fighting games because of the human element of reacting and predicting, not "I spent 20 hours memorizing this one combo and I'm just gonna do it over and over whenever you make one tiny ...
It comes off to me as a Super Soul Calibur 4, if you will - only SSF4 had a lot more specifically new characters. To me, looking at SC5, it looks like it has, say...2 new characters, really, and the rest feel like clones of older ones but planted in the bodies of younger characters.
That's just my impression, mind, but it's impressions that can make all the difference with things like this.
Part of it is probably how it has this "generic fantasy setting" vibe to it, I think..
I mean, Skyrim has that, too, but somehow was able to get past it. My guess (because this is why it worked on me) was how the setting was very mountainous and snowy.
I mean, I personally don't really know what would make this game worth my time compared to most other fantasy RPGs out there. I'm not sure what it does to differentiate.
Mario Kart 7 has online multiplayer.
And Modnation Racers won't? xD
I'm sorry, but...let that sink in for a minute - Nintendo's the one that everyone makes fun of for not embracing online. Seriously, Sony, what's the deal?
Is this CONFIRMED, though? That it won't have online?
That's weird. I was at a preview event and I specifically ASKED one of the reps, "Will you be able to play your Vita online with people on the PS3 online?" and was told "yes."
If somehow that feature doesn't make it in, I just...don't see this game getting much of a following, I feel like that is one of its primary strengths.
Good God, I'm sick of this "next-gen" talk. We don't NEED a new run of hardware yet. The portables? It makes sense, it's been a while, they ARE outdated a bit.
Wii U? It makes sense, Wii was a little behind the times out of the gate, they're just doing what Microsoft and Sony did last year - catching up with the competition's tech.
But I really don't think the economy or the industry would be able to handle a new run of conso...
"MvC3 is on every platform ever?"
Except for, oh, say...Wii, or 3DS, or PC...?
Street Fighter 4's on a lot more platforms than MvC3 is.
MvC's on TWO platforms. Soon to be three. Just saying.
BUT I think it's important that it's a previously released game in general. So is Modnation, in a manner of speaking.
3DS had a slow start but is gaining ground, I expect Vita will do the same.
While I would rather be playing a new Uncharted on my PS3, I have to say, it's damned impressive to see this game on the Vita, and after using the motion sensing controls for aiming with the sniper rifle, I can appreciate what this one is bringing to the table.
Whoa, nice. Sonic CD for $5? And there's a demo, too? Awesome. I'll have to try that out - never played.
Bicycles, man. They require no fuel, they're silent, and they can be carried over rough terrain.
What this guy said.
It's not that $10 is a large sum of money so much as said $10 would be MUCH better off spent elsewhere - speaking from my own experience with the game.
Exclusives are hard to come by these days.
