Even if they did reverse their decision, they still deserve to crumble simply for being Godaddy.
What's weird is the US cover looks more Japanese and the JP one looks like what you'd expect a typical US cover to be, CGI characters all grouped together looking angry.
Even that's a stretch
"mildly interested in" would be even more appropriate.
Nah
"The problem is that when the game's entire cast tops out at the age of nineteen, I find myself completely unable to relate to these whiny brats and their ridiculous problems. And I can hardly believe that this is a personal problem given the average age of gamers is now pegged at around 35-years-old, JRPGs seem entirely marketed towards the Twilight crowd, encouraging the ridiculous "youth = awesome" myth that really doesn't appeal to an audience suffering from male pa...
Does anybody really want a world where Sony is no longer involved with gaming? Is that really what people are trying to push for? Is your petty bias really more important than balance?
If Sega isn't going to do anything with it, why do they insist on hoarding it?
Nomura needs to be President of Square Enix. He's their Kojima, essentially.
Not your journalism, that's for damn sure
Yeah, let's kill off Sony and let Nintendo take the handheld market. Oh, and while we're at it, we might as well give the whole console market to Microsoft because we all know how AWESOME they are.
Jackasses
Why do they want Sony to fail so hard? Do they really think a MS only console gaming world would be a pleasant one? Is microsoft secretely pushing this kind of crap along? It would make sense if Microsoft was somehow pulling the strings. It doesn't make much sense for a mainstream site for reviews to actively want everything Sony to fail. What would IGN have to gain from that?
There's something bigger going on here.
Aaaaand, you're in the minority
Sadly this time majority rule doesn't matter and you are getting what you wanted.
Damn I remember the world operating under a much different set of rules back in the day.
Still think VII would be a better game to remake, however im sure it would cost way more as well...
Western minds? No thanks if so
Great, now Wada will have an excuse to go "SEE?! IT'S BECAUSE OUR GAMES AREN'T WESTERN ENOUGH!"
....Give me a gun, I'll solve the problem.
Dont you have to hack the system to play pirated games?
Way to derp there, bud
I didn't because hacking your console just to play one game is beyond retarded.
I don't even have a wii though. Was waiting for this game to get one.
"Japanese developers have not changed their formula since the PS1 and PS2 Era.
Look at all the game innovation now? It's not from the Japanese, but North America and European game studios."
What innovation? Can you even answer that?
"“It’s much more competitive now: if you look at triple-A titles on a worldwide scale there’s maybe only ten really big games that can get gamers’ attention, and I’m not sure how Japan can compete on that level.”"
Wow, it doesn't seem like he's backing the western development process or market at all like many of the comments above would lead you to believe. It seems more like he's blaming it if anything. Which I agree with.
Japan didn...
Yeah now that you mention it, it does look odd.
Should have just drawn the guy running in desperation, they don't need him shooting a gun in the wrong direction. His buddies know where the fighting is, he clearly doesn't.
They could be surrounded by cyborgs on all sides but nobody facing the other way seems concerned about being shot in the back.
