What I've always loved about Rockstar is that they put so much to do on the "map" and then you can also just wander around the environment and there's all these tiny little interactions and details that aren't listed which just makes the game such a fun open world to explore. You don't need a point A and B to discover, learn or complete things.
Ubisoft doesn't really do that in their games, as well as a lot of open world titles. I mean sure there...
None of it's pre-rendered. All the cutscenes are in game, and the trailer has used gameplay footage with cinematic cameras.
Hmm, wasnt the same thing said with COD Ghosts but it turned out to be using less than 2GB Ram? Also the CPU being the primary focus with this game is interesting. Sounds like there's a lot going on in the world it terms of AI and such. One of the big promises for next gen looks like it's being delivered!
God, I think I'd cry tears of joy if I heard this song come on during Microsoft's conference: http://youtu.be/NjYWVia5bAM
If they aren't going to make platforming threequel, morphing one and two into its own huge game with CGI like visuals would be awesome.
I need new Banjo :(
Some of those visuals look so damn photorealistic. Can't wait!
EDIT - This one in particular! http://giant.gfycat.com/Com...
Fuuuuu, next gen is here.
Please be good, please be good, please be good.
The game is incredibly arcade like and has little gameplay depth and very linear paths. I think the expectation for most was for it to be a hub world exploration platformer akin to Mario/Spyro/Crash/Ratchet etc. but instead got something completely different.
I platinumed this and it was probably the longest grind I've ever experienced. The visuals were spectacular, but all the other elements just felt like something out of a glorified tech demo. A fixed camera also SUCKE...
Battlefront & Batman: Arkham Knight = A happy man.
Awesome, I knew most of these but some were surprising like Gary Oldman as I have never played COD. Now that current gen consoles can support much better visuals, facial animation and higher poly models, I wonder if we will start to see more film/tv actors give their voices and mocap performances into games. Imagine Harrison Ford in a Star Wars game!
By what I can make out, there's some pretty awesome particle and lighting effects. The character, armour and environments also look nicely modelled and is not just a lot of textures on flat surfaces. That should hopefully give everything a much more unique feel. That circle opening at the beginning of the video reminds me of that UE4 tech demo too. I'm quite excited for this game. It will hopefully give the impression of what a next gen Dark Souls will be like. Of course it will proba...
I can't wait to start seeing the PS4/X1/PC games looking like this.
OT sort of:
Does the idea of Dark Souls 3 looking like this http://youtu.be/qmqvDOwS4Ic or this http://youtu.be/y_7awHM-pr0... not the exact art style, but just the models, textures, lighting etc. make anyone else crazy?!?
I'd love an actual city area...
God, this is already my GOTY no matter what else comes out this year. I seriously can not wait for the first gameplay video from E3. It's going to be awesome!
No f*****g prequel please.
Cheers
I wouldn't mind paying to play an improved version of ME1 with a more stable framerate, improved resolution, less loading times, a better inventory system and controls etc. Basically a version fixing all the issues it had when it came out 7 YEARS AGO.
HOWEVER, I would mind paying to play just a resolution/fps upgrade with slightly improved textures Mass Effect 1. In fact, that would just p**s me off. It's one of my favourite franchises, and EA just re-releasing it for...
Oh my god, that looks just, awful.
That's painful.
Damn, I didn't know it was THAT demanding. I have a pretty good PC so I'm not worried. Telling by the disagrees, PC gamers are very defensive about keeping the title only on that system. I'll leave it be then! Just don't hurt me :(
A Superman VR game with Move on PS4 could work so well.
Just imagine, you look down at your feet in the game and with the push of a button you see the dirt/dust around you pulse out as your feet begin to lift into the air. As you take flight, the wind gets louder and louder and then you pass the sound barrier and hear nothing but silence and the vibrations of the Superman's breath as you zip across the sky.
You then see an alien ravaging the city below a...
Since its announcement I always thought Watch Dogs was taking place in the same universe as Assassin's Creed. It seems like the perfect execution of how Assassin's would operate in the present i.e. technological weapons and such. Now the two worlds and characters don't have to directly crossover in their standalone games, but it would be awesome if Ubisoft developed a shared universe like Marvel's movies. Where some sort of Avenger's type game could see the protagonists De...
