It'll be interesting to see what they change and develop in the sequels. I wonder if they'll eventually give an open world, or at least really open environments. I guess we'll have to wait and see what they can pull out of the PS4.
This is the system seller for me, just not too sure on grabbing a Wii U yet as their prices are plummeting and I'm really HOPING for some sort of slim model with a higher res gamepad. I almost bought a 3DS Xl but the day I went to get it, it was announced a New one was coming out haha
I don't know why they added so much smog and drained all the colours. It doesn't look as eye popping and grand. No one looks like they've ever seen sunlight either haha.
Still looks better than 99% of the games out there though. Don't think I've ever seen a PC game with CGI cutscene visuals like this. Sure you can throw in the highest resolution textures/bloom effects/mods etc. but it still looks like a game and not The Order 1886.
If it was just the same stuff stretched out over a larger area, it would have been even worse for the game.
Chain grapnel?!? DOPE. Need dat batmobile edition asap
Just don't have multiplayer achievements please, I like to 100% RPGS without having to interact with people from...outside.
Was about to say the same thing, I thought it was pretty underrated. Definitely worth grabbing at that price. It's Australia as well which is sweet, because digital prices over here are jawdroppers (Cost WAY MORE than retail most of the time).
If what we saw was conceptually what they're aiming for in the game then f**K yes. It looks like a huge push in improving explosions and destruction.
Prince of Persia gives me doubts about this.
It's actually inbetween DAI and Skyrim by what the developer states in this interview: http://www.gamespot.com/vid...
TL;DR: Different areas like Dragon Age, all seamlessly connected and explorable (Like Skyrim) through clever in game loading e.g. Riding a boat along the sea, or waiting for a giant gate to open into an enormous kingdom full of NPCs etc. ...
I read that if you crouch, water fills up the pockets of your cape on the ground and splashes off when you get up. That sounds eyegasmic.
Good lawd yes please. After seeing all the leaked concept art and new Star Wars environments, I definitely don't mind seeing maps of them in the game.
The trailer seemed pretty good visually! If the story holds up I'm sure it'll be a fun film. I really want this screenshot to be from the game though haha, this new gen might finally give us some awesome open world Pixar type games. Knack was great in the visual department, but it kind of felt fell flat in everything else.
I agree but I just feel like we have such a sluggish start to it, I just want lots of games nowwwwwwwwwwwwww haha. I really hope this gen revitalised the colorful platformer genre on Sony and Microsoft consoles ak BK, Crash, Ratchet, Sly etc.
Cosmetic paid dlc in any game EVER is a F*****G rort. It's such a dishonest act to the consumer, especially considering how little effort it would be to place in the game free of charge. There's always such an un-unique variety that are usually included in the game initially. Then badass skins -like a tron glowy outfit or some sh*t- you have to pay for.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuu the only thing that makes me think it's a screenshot is the background isn't super insane pixar quality but looks more like a game environment albeit a very pixar-y one if that makes sense?
Can't wait, Sunset Overdrive showed what exclusive colourful platformers can do on this new gen. This is gonna be sweet! Can't wait for BK 3 as well :D
I hear ya! Check out an indie title called A Hat In Time, it's another sort of spiritual successor :)
This may seem silly, but do the games have to have DX12 compatibility?Or for example, can older games like Crysis 3 bear improvements to graphical performance from older GPUs?
I've heard the collectable mechanics in this game are awful and time consuming which is what's deterred me from playing it before. If this remastered edition has some sort of device that helps you find them in the game, I might pick it up.
Does it really need a remaster though? Why not just make a next gen Darksiders game with crazy good visuals.
