I think Sony simply decided to remove one of the least used features in order to save on costs as well as to promote PS3 game sales.
I haven't used BC in over two years and the only reason I ever would is because somehow these "younger" dev teams keep fuqing up the sequels to my favorite games, i.e. Silent Hill 5 got fuqed, DBZ: Raging Blast got fuqed because they changed the controls (back to Tenkaichi 3), et cetera.

The Good:
certain visual effects are nice, cross "blasts" and whatnot; the framerate was solid and the gameplay is fun. The "Beast" thing looked much better than the other enemy models and it was animated well. Interesting use of source material, it's a bit obvious at times, but they adapted it well (Judas Coins...! :) smiley)

ugly textures, flat environments (especially stone), papery 2d flame effects (very PS2, or Call of D...
I don't know, from the GoW III collection demo it basically struck me as being exactly like GoW II with better graphics, an unstable frame rate (understandable) and a few actually concerning game play issues, i.e. lame wall traversal (hope it gets replaced with a climbing animation rather than awkward flush to the wall jump).
The only way their reaction will be substantiated is if the screen behind them suggests they have played a Gaia demo and like, every tree and bush is shakin...

I guess it's all the freaking flash garbage, but even with a flash blocker it still chugs.

I'm criticizing choose of art assets not visual fidelity.

I agree, but that's one thing I can't recall having seen in any of the videos yet; any shots of people vaulting around and sliding as seen from YOUR perspective not THEIR FP perspective.
They always show it from the player's FP view, but how does it look to others? IS it smooth looking? Or will it look awkward like Call of Duty's jumping and climbing?

I realize it was just a demo (played from the collection), but it is a little disconcerting the way Kratos scales walls without handholds, i.e. just jumping straight up sort of in an awkward vertical leap while his body is flush to the wall.
I hope they intend to replace that with a climbing animation almost as fast as simply jumping but more akin to the Modern Warfare 2 ice climbing sequence. Kratos needs to use his blades to climb the wall, it would look and feel much cooler.
