"Compared to Sony, it has been much more nimble to react to the casual gaming segment that has been opened up by Nintendo, it has found interesting ways to enable new applications besides gaming, all while keeping its hardcore gamers happy."
What is the deal with all the preemptive Sony fans' Microsoft bashing defensive comments in the article, pretty unprofessional and rather revealing ...
I hope it's Baby Gears, where you get to battle through a million VR missions and a sixty hour campaign, not including cut-scenes, as baby/toddler versions of all your favorite Metal Gear Heros and Villains!
You could even have "Power Wheel" versions of the Metal Gears, bite-sized robots befitting the baby antagonists.
One can dream...
Kinect should have been built in... not that I care, but a NEW proprietary HDD is effing crazy unless in some psychotic turn of events they turned out to be priced competitively with standard 2.5 inch notebook drives... which won't happen.
Very PS2-ish and compared to BLACK, not even that great of an improvement... and that WAS a PS2 game!

Was it pre-alpha?
I pointed a heat gun at mine when it did that and it's been working ever since, must have gotten cold?
Should you buy a Wii?
It plays standard definition games and displays variable graphical prowess...
Should you buy an Xbox 360?
Early on and somewhat at the present it has been prone to enormous failure rates, exorbitantly priced proprietary components, additional costs for online play and on average receiving lower scores on exclusive games than other consoles.
Perhaps they are referring to only gameplay features to protect their asses.
Well, screens so far display some lackluster textures (at least on the console versions) and it really seems more akin to a pumped up Call of Duty engine game... this of course is based on available footage, which contains limited examples of environmental destruction and interaction at this point, which, if substantial, would change things a great deal.
Everything looks promising though.
What a misleading title, as if he were suggesting the entire game were, "poo."
And I never experienced any FOV issues or even heard someone mention it until now.
What's with all the SDF comments too, misleading title... Pretty flame bait-ish in my opinion.
A bit nitpicky, but the little sparks NOT bouncing around on the ground when they hit seems somewhat last gen now... Killzone spoiled me I guess, there's another PS3 game that has bouncy sparks, but I can't remember it right now.
It has the misfortune of falling under the same category as all the other overpriced, less than necessary peripherals released throughout gaming history.
I love Natal as a UI implement, but not for that price.
All I can say is if you're not playing with friends or a REAL team then people can and should do as they please; it may be frustrating at times, but you should also consider that many players really are just VERY young kids that neither care or grasp the concept of an objective or teamwork so it's rather pointless to complain. My girlfriend's cousins for example.
Just my thoughts
Of course they're not, but tech sharing and discussions take place all the time.. if anyone from or affiliated with Naughty were working on the title it'd be in the credits.
They should have him walk through lava next time...
She's got bigger titties.
Since we or at least I have no idea what Micro or Ninten are bringing to the table apart from an appearance from Natal with an as of yet unspecified software lineup it is a bit silly to declare a winner, though Sony's showing is extremely impressive so far.
I agree with what you're saying, but Pachter wasn't suggesting Microsoft is even CAPABLE of such a thing as long as third party options are available, which of course are non-existent on the 360 and are only just now being limited to a single option on PS3 due to the removal of the other OS feature, yet it remains an open browsing platform at no extra expense.
Microsoft can and does, however, control their consumers' use of the internet thereby "owning" ...
@ disagree, so emptying my clip into a guy's back at twenty feet with no misses is balanced? - I don't care if it's that Holias crap, it a PISTOL should be lethal at that range.
I played in the early betas and things were fine, then they started screwing with the damage catering to the tards running out in the open... it started to suck.
Man I hadn't played MAG since I bought it and when I did play again None of the low level weapons do she-it now, ridiculous...
They screwed this game up as far as weapon balancing, not to mention poor level design and everything else.
All great but for the "content cannot be played (utilized) once your subscription is either deleted or not renewed..." so does that go for DLC as well? Will we have the option to BUY (permanently) the DLC, or game, even though we have a subscription just so it doesn't become unusable should we decide not to continue subscribing?
