well IW got actual navy seals to help demonstrate some of the procedures and tactics they use in real life. IW obviously wanted to retain some arcade elements of the game and not make it a military sim so they deliberately didn't make it as realistic, though i'm sure they could've.
anyways, i'm looking forward to killzone 3 and BC2 for more realistic shooting mechanics.
well it does say 'arguably'
quantum theory? out of all the ps3 exclusives the author could've chosen, he puts quantum theory? that game looks terrible and i wouldn't be surprised if it does come to the 360.
oh yeah, i thought IW said that their new online architecture allows them to seamlessly update their code without ever having someone to download a patch? what happened to that?
yep, you can call in anything with the care package but the higher level killstreaks are rare to get. however, if you call in the care package a lot per round, you'll come across some goodies just about every match. i've called in a few AC130's and choppers in just one match and i heard you can even get a nuke, but that's extremely rare.
the only thing that pisses me off about the care packages is that the worst player in the game can win just because of some cheap killstreak...
in my opinion, the game is best played with this class set up.
primary: UMP with silencer
secondary: the first machine pistol with silencer
equipment: claymores
flash x2
perk 1: marathon pro
perk 2: lightweight pro
perk 3: commando pro
i know it pisses off people because every match someone is complaining about it. it's the only time i actually have fun with MW2.
i think this song fits better
i wanted six days in fallujah, it looked interesting.
i also want the next time splitters and deus ex game. i loved both of their unique art directions. it's not generic like a majority of shooters out today.
EDIT: i forgot Black 2. the first one was awesome.
lol i remember Necrum. isn't that the mudokon's burial site? man i played those Oddworld games literally 10 times or more.
i was upset in the direction Oddworld Inhabitants had taken after the PSone days. first there was the third person view oddworld, and then this stranger game.
i still crave for a new side scrolling oddworld game, but i doubt that'll ever happen.
you want to know the difference between PS3 and 360 exclusives?
PS3:
killzone 2
UC2
Demon's Soul
ACiT
inFamous
GOW collection
360:
Ninja Blade
Halo RTS spin off
Forza 3
L4D2
more GTA4 DLC
overpriced Halo DLC
'nuff said.
don't care, already trading MW2 on goozex. definitely a fun title, but i feel as though there are other games i should've bought instead like UC2. damn youtube is making me want to spoil UC2 like i did with MGS4, but i can wait.
whew, for a second i thought it said "GT5: not coming before 2011." i was about to be pissed. honestly don't care about GTA games anymore, but i'll wait and see if GTA5 will be worthy of a purchase.
play the beta before you speak. although i don't enjoy mag as much as i used too, lag was never a problem for me. domination runs smooth and only every once in a blue does a hitch come up.
ironically, there's less lag in MAG than COD so if anything, you'd be doing yourself a favor to try out MAG if you're not a fan of lagging.
i thought the same thing, there should be an award for campers.
the ump w/silencer, marathon, lightweight, and commando surprisingly works. played deathmatch with this set up after watching someone else use it and i was pissing off people with it.
the only time grenade attachments don't piss me off in a FPS is in battlefield. those are used primarily to destroy buildings and occasionally to get a kill. there's something about COD's noob tube that really pisses me off when i get killed by them though.
yeah, killzone 2 was nothing short of a 9+ score, but i was kind of surprised about the 8.75 they gave them. certainly not a bad score and i guess it can be justified since the game is still flawed in a lot of ways, but its definitely one of the most unique and best shooters i've ever played.
can't wait for killzone 3. improved graphics, better campaign, optional co-op, lengthier competitive ranking, more weapons with attachments, and just some slight improvements over the ai...
yeah, i stopped caring about game magazines when i came across this site around killzone 2's release. ever since then, it seems like i saw early leaks and scans of the upcoming magazines that i used to subscribe to a long with other info that i wouldn't have gotten from a magazine.
now that i think about it, i think i only had a gamestop subscription because those sneaky bastards at gamestop somehow convinced me to sign up for one. ironically, it was because i wanted to ogle at...
can't but feel like they missed a lot of other good titles.
you're right about a silenced 50 cal. the rounds are too big for such a small sound signature suppressor, but people use RPGs for other things besides tanks. they can be anti-infantry and anti-material weapons for certain situations in combat. look up some footage on youtube and look at the squads and platoons. you'll see some people with RPGs to take down walls.
