off topic: does anyone know what the latest update is for on the ps3?
i'm downloading it right now but i would like to see what's included in this firmware.
completely agree. higher maturity levels are required in the video game market if religious stories and it's application is to be taken seriously and not result in aimless ideological bashing. not arguing for or against whatever anyone else believes, i just don't think most people have the fortitude to be mature about different viewpoints on spirituality and religion.
off topic, just got done watching traitor and that's a damn good movie.
hype + damage control = hype control!
i liked the first one and it's definitely a good game, but something about the claustrophobic atmosphere made me want to get straight to the ending of the game. some parts felt like they dragged on but it was fun and exciting when major set pieces occurred.
with that being said, i don't know if i'm too interested in bioschock 2 right now.
thanks razor!
lmao you're right, it technically isn't a sniper without a scope.
what's the backtrack? i like it a lot, sounds like ghostface a little bit.
"Am i the only person here who finds God of War childish?
Seriously whats so special about ripping someones head off? "
wasn't aware children could rip off heads, if that's what you're implying.
lol this guy cracks me up. so unprofessional, but i do like that backtrack going in the background. nice beat.
i agree, halo started getting a little too light-hearted and the online's demographic didn't help either. i'm really digging the more mature settings.
it's like halo reach is getting a killzone 2 face lift and making it more grittier. with that being said, can't wait for killzone 3 either.
hell yes! this sounds like the halo that i originally wanted. it's returning to its roots and then some.
my prospects of getting a 360 just went straight up.
oh i see what you're saying. that makes a lot more sense.
can't wait to see what has been improved from the beta. after reading the beta's list of fixes and tweaks, i bet the demo will feel like a completely new game.
i'm going to be pissed if it's a 30 minute demo though.
i remember being addicted to fire emblem for a while on the GBA. same thing with advanced wars, but i oddly didn't like it as much as fire emblem. those games are like chess, so addicting.
the hud and graphics look pretty slick. i like this pic in particular.

i'd imagine it will be amazing since all of microsoft's gaming division's workload and resources is being put into reach.
i thought AC was pretty sweet back on the psone. it actually has a really good formula as far as game mechanics go. i used to love upgrading my parts and gear, but the gameplay itself wasn't too engaging or in depth.
with that being said, ZOE is by far the best mech game series ever made. ZOE3 + AC gear upgrading and customization = perfect mech game.
so glad to hear they improved the gun models and scope details. they already looked solid in the beta, but sometimes the scopes felt detached from the gun.
also
"Bolt action sniper rifles will chamber the next round if the trigger is pressed twice while zooming."
i like that a lot as well.
and this is the biggest wtf
"The Ammo Box, Medkit, Defibrillator, Repair Tool, and Motion Sensor are now unlocks for each...
sony showed overall good numbers with the ps3, psp, and ps2 combined. i don't get why there are more people buying the psp or how the ps2 is still selling a lot.
sometimes i wonder what the ps3 would be like if sony put all of it's resources towards it instead of the two other platforms.
lost planet 2 and mafia 2 with no mention of alan wake or gow3? i dunno about this one.
the sales also prove that it doesn't have to be an online oriented game to succeed. you catch that devs? quit tacking on multiplayer if it's not needed!
