yeah projection sets are really neat too. almost baffles me why they sometimes look better than some LCDs and plasmas i've seen in the past.
yep, OLED's are the cream of the crop at the moment. can't wait to see what models will come down the pipeline later on when they're cheaper and even more powerful/efficient.

after seeing how crytek is pushing their engine on consoles, i think i'm going to have to agree with them. i think with their engine they've pushed current gen consoles to their limit. doesn't mean a different developer with a different engine couldn't make a game look better than crysis 2 however.

its definitely a fun and good game, but i was a little dissapointed in compared to the hype it recieved. its definitely the best breakout game out there and the soundtrack is awesome, but its nothing mindblowing in my opinion.
at the same time however, it is awesome when you're playing it on a nice big screen tv with a good sound system. you can easily get immersed in the vibe of the game.

along the lines of what you're saying on how bigger screens aren't neccessarily better, i also think aliasing becomes a more apparent issue with most games on bigger screens. the only FPS that i didn't have a problem with noticeable aliasing was killzone 2 and we all know why. anyways, just saying i can't stand bad anti-aliasing.
