I am one of those that bought a 120 gig just because of this upcomming feature. Gave my old 20 gig away to a friend with an arcade system..
But what I found was that the 120 gig drive is faster then the 20 gig drive. I only base this on the time games pop up in the arcade games/demo area. But still it's about twice as fast. I had to wait for my arcade games to pop up. Esp if I had a few demos installed aswell.

for pretty much any 360 game. Almost all 360 games require less then 30 ms ping to any xbox over "LAN". It sends a little encrypted package that the other 360 will decode and sent the correct reply back.
And you don't have 30 ms ping to pretty much anyone on the internet. Maybe if they live in the same city. But the odds that someone close enough to you have gone through all the mess of setting up kai and want to play the same game as you are slim to none.

It's about the money ppl. Yes ppl are buying a lot of Wii's. But they aren't buying a lot of Wii games, prob because there aren't that many. I don't see the Wii as a true console it's more of a toy and todays consoles aren't toys. Ppl buy a Wii play with it for a few weeks maybe and then it just sits there collecting dust. Coming from a lifelong PC gaming experience to a 360 the one thing you notice most in "Loading... Loading...". Some games, Burnout Paradise and GTA4, have seamless loading like PC games have had for ages. But because of the longer seektime for DVD/Blueray it's harder to do and hence pop-in in GTA4.

If you play in coop you don't get any story or cinematics. That's the biggest mistake they have done. Why would they do it like that ?

Yeah I have this "old" (2 months atleast) arcade hdmi version, prob with the new motherboard. And it still locked up often enough to ruin it for me. And with no autosave it means playing half to 1 hour of game...
It's a common misconception that Xbox live have voice comminication.
It does have user-generated noise transmission.
I wish they would realise that some of us do have something else then a 56K modem. Use a better codec!

Who gives a hoot ? MS will ofcourse put out a blue-ray player in a while. They didn't know wich would win when they released x360 so they didn't chose one then. The HD-DVD addon was not really comsumer friendly and not many bought it tbh.

PS3 hardware is the better, 3 red lights duh.... The open platform with the ability to run linux on it and such. I mean could you use the PS3 as a computer with word editing och mail support and everything ?

The reason the reviewers didn't say anything about it is prob because noone noticed.
Some of us haven't destroyed our hearing, by going to concerts or listening to loud headphones etc. Or growing old. The older you get the less frequency range you hear. Actually kind of a blessing as new electronics tend to output a very high-freq noice.
Some 360's where LITERALLY louder then a vaccumcleaner, a newish vaccumcleaner but still. You can't turn up the volume to fix that.. Or well you could but someone would call the cops after 10 min or so.
