Sell my PS3 now.. and my psp, as well as my TV, and my phone.
This is unacceptable. Thanks SONY!
Maybe a price cut? but 5k, that could go either way hah.
Gamers play games because they like GAMES.
Gamers mod games because they LIKE GAMES.
You are so cute trying to dance and spin everything.
First it was:
"HAHAH DLC IS STUPID BECAUSE EPIC MAKES THE BEST MODS EVER."
After you got completely owned on that..
"BUH BUh SALES MAKE ME ENJOY GAMES, NOT THE GAME ITSELF"
N+ sold millions right? Oh wait, it didn't so that means it must suck now? Because...
Considering that most people that DO Create maps do so for a living (3d modeling/animation/programming , and do Maps for this game on the side OR to try to get hired at EPIC(Which many have) Its not like there is some huge skillset that people with these talents are missing.
Counterstrike for example, User created mod.
Desert Combat, User Created mod that turned into Battlefield 2.
All Developers were doing work, and looking for jobs at one point in time. You a...
hmm.
LoL PWN, exactly...
I'm just being completely sarcastic.
But... wait does that mean they wont do Mods for the 360? They shouldn't even bother releasing UT3. Just put those people on Gears 2. Why the hell would you buy a community driven game like UT3 and not be able to use the community!?
am I missing something?
Gears 1 was great when there was 0 competition.
But going against a title like GTAIV, Gears 2 is going to have to do something bigger than 5 vs 5 to win any multiplayer awards.
Bar hasn't been risen yet apparently.
test
The specs here can play bioshock/cod4/gears in a higher resolution than the consoles. Clearly not 1920x1200 because you dont have that kinda machine spec'd out here..
The entire argument about PC gaming goes down the drain when it comes to underpowered multiplatform titles. For Crysis and other PC only titles that are actually advancing in graphics, you need another videocard/more ram etc. But I mean Mass Effect was supposed to be one of the graphical console show pieces, and it ...
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I wonder what Kotaku's negative spin on this will be?
"THANKS FOR NOTHING SONY,THEY LIED ABOUT RELEASE DATE"
You are aware people are hammering the servers?
This is 1 title, with a huge amount of people playing it. Once again Sony has to bend the laws of bandwidth in order to get a pass from critics.
Polyphony is constantly updating the game. they JUST updated it again today.
Man, isn't there some Alan Wake or Banjo Kazooie news to keep people busy? The Sony Hate-A-Thon is getting old. The guy is complaining about a "DEMO" which millions of people are playing and enjoying. Keep hating on Sony, they respond with...
huge jump from the previous version that was released a few months ago. That thing looked like a 3d game with flat textures.
This actually looks like a cartoon.
Dunno who the dev is, but good job to them.
Everyone seems to be confused when they rate sony titles. Why does it have to be compared to perfection and not other games?
Welp. Theres that.
Graphics 9 though, thats a bit weak. Gran Turismo is possibly the closest to photo real title we have right now. Not sure what more it can do? to get a higher score.
I notice other titles get 9+ in graphics. not naming any names, but I do believe it Polyphony has risen the bar as usual. 8.5 is welcome. Lets hope Polyphony can listen to the feedback from our community. We can really make this a stellar game.
The more and more I keep reading these reviews, I'm waiting for somone to slip up and score it.
and that it was the end of the world.
Look how some people deal with things:
"The screens that took forever to load seemed to get their act together once they were on the screen. When we left the alphabetized breakdown and came back in, the logos were there and there was nothing to load. That was the case for most of the screens we had to wait for, but after awhile, the loads started happening again. It's probably just a day one jitter -- and even if it isn't, ...
Wow, Kotaku. seriously Wow. Its safe to say that a maxed out PS3 game dwarfs others.
