Ehh... GTA used to be about crime.
Saints Row, hate it or love it. Has more crime in the game to perform than GTA4. Which is why everyone always buys GTA.
GTA4 is a product of over the head advertising and media tricks.
THe game is absolutely shallow, its nothing close to GTA SA or Vice city. The replay value is useless because its not fun. Online is great.
Metal Gear is the better game. If you've ever played one, youd know why.

Naughty Dog didn't have 6 0 million for Uncharted. Yet it streams.
As does Burnout after the initial load.
Lazy developers can install on the HDD faster than they can stream/cache. If they have ridiculous deadlines. Konami could have, but hey.. for some reason they didn't.

MGS is a Japanese title that gets an english port. Its being heavily advertised in Japan, I'd almost liken it to YAKUZA. Almost. Any sales outside of the millions that its going to get in japan is just going to be icing on the cake. And its a 21 year old game franchise, the gaming world knows about it.
