Along with Themart and the rest of the xbots.

Better start pretending there are shortages.

Because next month is going to be worse with metal gear.

I'm saying that the definition of what people call the "Unreal Engine Look" is that of bland/generic looking graphics.

I'm aware that those two games aren't Unreal engine titles, but since they fit the bill as far as graphics goes, They DO look like Unreal Engine titles.

I'm saying that the ENGINE cant handle the loads, and Its a coding problem. Not Hardware, because my system that I run crysis sdk on runs.. perfectly fine. Once I try to really push Unreale...

YEs, hopefully the days of the BLOOM are over. Bloom is fine, when eyes are adjusting.

But most games just keep it set to 10 the entire game to hide lack of lighting/detail.

Its not any more remarkable than it was before, its just well documented. Tools are made for it to make transitioning from 3dstudiomax/Maya into the engine AMAZINGLY even more simple.

Dev's dont have to spend nearly as much $ to get a game up and running with the unreal engine than others because of the huge community supporting it constantly.

Its a fine engine to make a game on, but I don't like when EPIC/ANYONE shows off Things the engine CAN'T DO like Object motio...

Unreal Engine is the choice, because of all the AMAZING documentation out there. Everything is customizable. But when you are limited to what the engine can actually crunch, you end up using around the same polygon budget as previous titles did, because the engine just plain cant handle it. It would be different if they decided not to rely heavily on Normal Maps, but well.. They did. And here we are. There are rules for game engines, and because of those RULES you get what comes out of unreal...

Well it doesn't really strive to be powerful in the first place. The specifications for even the latest unreal engine title is remarkably low even for recommended.

Anyone that has touched UnrealEd can see why developers choose it. Its very simple to turn the key and push out things.

The problem with the unreal engine, which they have yet to improve upon:

- Heavy Reliance on Normal Maps.
All of the games are SATURATED with Low polygon models(by toda...

Have the balls to give this game an 8 like it deserves. After you are over the city and how it looks comedy shows\tv.. there is no content to keep you interested that isn't completely repetitive.

Nothing Saints Row's PR said was malicious, negative, or incorrect.

Bowling/Darts all of that side stuff is completely boring in GTA4 after the first time you've done it all.

Saints Row's game features are definitely interesting.

Using your PAID scores/reviews as proof of why your game is better is pathetic. And this is the problem with reviews.

Reviews do not EQUATE to quality in the game industry because there is no filter for the opinions...

1. No mods.
2. No Mouse & KB support.
3. Gears of War

What is the point of releasing a generic shooter, which unreal is. Without any of the things that make it fun to the die hard Unreal Enthusiasts?

I mean Unreal is a diehard gamer title. No casuals are going to stand for the "story mode" which is just playing a server w/bots....

and No unreal fans are going to sit around waiting for Epic and Microsoft to agree on content that ...

Resolution has NOTHING at all to do with performance. You can run Pong in 1080p.

Halo3's Sub HD frame does prove that its impossible for the 360 to render the engine at a 720p/1080p frame and keep a stable frame rate with HDRI lighting, and keeping the same lod.

The purpose of my comment was to point out that there ARE 1080p titles. That run well, and look good. halo3 runs well, and looks good. Its not 1080p. And that 1080p isn't a necessity for gaming.

Looks like they caught on to the "Next Gen = BLOOM" memo. Damn, devs need to find a new way to cover up lack of detail.

While the PS3's exclusives can, so odd.

I can spend the time and get links together showing how much powerful the 360 is compared to the ps3 citing instances like:

Madden
GTA4
Bourne
Darkness

And all of the multiplats which were developed to run on the 360 first, then ported to the ps3 without use of the cell. Your argument could be made very easily without any effort. Because Multiplats are generally better on the 360.. since they were developed for the 360 first..

You see w...

Yes. Considering that I work in Visual Fx as a Visual Fx Compositor on feature films. yes, I know enough to know that what you just said
Is total nonsense.

There is no such term in this industry or the game industry that applies to just "Animated CGI", or any of the branches that you've made up. Never heard anyone word things the way you do. You know you are working on in-game engine rendered assets, or rendering assets via Maya/Max + A render farm and a ton of pr...

Thats obviously In Game. They just added the "Next Gen Filter" meaning over sensitive light bloom. Which still fools people into thinking dynamic crysis like lighting model. It does look like they are using an hdri to light the sets though.

Definitely looks good, but anyone that thinks this is CGI and not In Game is just convincing their eyes it looks more detailed than it really is. The only thing very detailed, is the main characters. The rest of the game is in a Ninj...

No one attacked Halo3's Single Player Innovation.
No one attacked COD4's Single Player Innovation.

Everyone is attacking KZ2's Single Player Innovation, without even seeing the multiplayer.

Sony isn't allowed to release games that aren't innovative while Microsoft clearly is. I'm sorry but I'm fed up with every single sony title getting interrogated on Innovation.

Halo3 stole everything from PC shooters.
Gears stole from kill.switch and every...
