and market the hell out of it, like everyone else.
They clearly have a vision for a product. That vision doesn't have to meet everyones expectations or requirements. Its the same vision ID/Valve had when they all released games that required high specifications to run. Remember when people used to make games for fun and to show off their vision? Anyone? Or can it not be fun unless its AAA and sells 5+ million?
If you aren't on he board of Crytek/EA. You shouldn't car...
Mine plays warhawk because shes not gay. ;) kidding kidding...
flow is fun, but I bet most girls can play some of the more complex titles out there.
We all know that Halo3 was no where near the level of technical achievement/gameplay achievement beyond your basic fps, and thats not to say that there is anything wrong with that, but the marketing definitely is the main reason for the sales.
But what will set Killzone2 apart from the herd of other fps's is clearly the visuals, delivering something people have never seen before that they can interact with and good advertising will suit this title well.
Im sure it will be out at the same time of the 360 version. Kinda like the way all multiplats used to be before this gen. It seemed to work fine back then.
I dont even see why this is something to argue about either. Seeing as how no one had a problem with it when Microsoft bribed out all timed releases? I just figured "Guess we gotta wait for this one, or play it on my PC." And that was it.
Its just good that the lead platform is the ps3, that way both v...
Thank god. I couldn't take much more Unreal Engine shooters..
nothing against it, but Next Gen in my eyes isn't tech from 2005 that relies on basic lighting and normal maps.
After playing MGS4/Uncharted i feel like this is the way all of our games should be.
Gaming isn't a right. If you can't afford to buy games, you really shouldn't be buying them. But thats a universal truth that applies to everything in life. Housing/Toys/Cars/Food.
There is always rental, which is quite cheap. Or saving up to buy used games.
And how these poor people, these poor poor people manage to buy ps3's and HDTV's boggles my mind.
Seriously, what is your problem? I'm sure you don't even own a ps3. Not only that, but you saw a glimpse of the QTE's not the entire game. But did you read up on the game and how every reaction you do, or miss, or change, affects the entire story of the game? I'm sure you aren't interested in the game at all, and I'm sure you don't care to listen/read anything about it other than trying to some how condemn HR for being a movie where you push buttons.
Why would you have a problem...
Not only did the developer mention the glitches, but he also mentioned those insignificant glitches and loading pauses for .0053 nano-seconds will be gone. Claiming "TONS" is a bit of an overstatement wouldn't you say? The HD version as well as most all other feeds don't have framerate issues, you are watching some low res feature. If killzone2 had framerate issues, you know damn well Kotaku/Edge/Eurogamer/Gamespot would be posting stories 247 about how "the cell" isn't po...
All it is is a map editor, with characters, and the ability to create anything that your heart desires for free and share it with the entire known universe all while playing co-op online with second to none visuals?
Oh wait, that does sound appealing! lol..
I'm sorry. I just don't get people that pretend that they don't get it. Or that its for kids? Its for a General audience. That applies to everyone. Its variety that the ps3 has, not just games where you teabag all...
Things are getting too big for them to try to spin and spoil, and I am very glad to see this. All is fair in the console industry, but Kotaku is really far to biased to be a solid source that is often quoted in MY gaming industry. I don't stand behind their site a single bit, and I dont see why its treated as a trusted source?
All they are here for is to promote the 360, rib the 360 but only jokingly. I've never NEVER seen more malicious 360 stories, than PS3 stories, and thats j...
There are only a handful of games that are in this club which combines all that I just mentioned. Crysis is one of them, along with killzone2.
2d motion blur as seen in Unreal Engine titles is just a gimick to hide the lack of detail in character models and environments. Thats up there with the overly used 'bloom' that early generation games were plagued with.
The games 3d camera blurs depending on how fast you are moving, like Crysis. Objects also have their own mot...
but ps2/xbox games has shadowing like that with 1 light source. That isn't "dynamic lighting".
The source engine is dated. Muzzle flashes isn't something new, neither is normal mapping, or shadows on walls, or adding NOISE to a frame.
That website that showed off the screenshots was a complete joke to look through all of those standard/old features as if it was something new.
But now its ok? and so is Too Humans 60%..
I love seeing it happen because it filters out the die hard fanboys when they are just contradicting eachother.
Its like saying Rumpelstiltskin's name out loud.
have you even played Crysis?
The Crysis denial of console owners is beyond delusional. No offense.
Home has a ton of potential, but its just annoying to sit around and wait on it. So, blah until it comes out. Ill be all over buying outfits and stupid stuff for fun.
But the wait is KILLING ME.
Notice every single PS3 title which scored 89% = flop. There were non-stop chants of "AAA OMG OMG" here 247. 79% was also a flop for ps3 games. And yea, its not a flop. But that is exactly what everyone was arguing about back then.. that an 8-9 is a fine score.
If you are new here, well you are joining this site during its conversion stage, to where the PS3 is dominating. But not so long ago, it was all completely different.
maybe some of you die hard xbots...
Dave Matthews
meh.. Although.. I could be wrong about kotaku.. but only time will tell.
