Although, if you ever participated in second life.. or.. even read about it... or looked at pictures... you would know its nothing like Home.
But at least He isn't the guy who craps on home, then turns to praise how new and amazing MicroMii's are.
bubbles.
Home is "JUST LIKE" second life as much as Little Big Planet is "JUST LIKE" Crysis's sandbox editor. Just like it.<-- sarcasm
Even when they are optional, its still against the console code of " i dont want to install games I just want to play them." Can people stand behind that retarded logic when its already been proven that HDD installs decrease load times?
Will be very interesting to see. Because if its true, and it is accepted. Well then I guess its just wrong if Sony does it. Or is it that HDD installs are perfectly fine, just as long as there is an option? So console owners don't mind ...
The only aspect thats not comparable, is the amount of games that support trophies.
If you read the article, which it doesn't even seem that you did... Its about the differences between the two, not the # of games that support either. To which the game system that was out with a full year head start, would have more of. Isn't that obvious? What you can readily compare now, since there are games that support them, which I doubt you even knew about since you only named the ones dis...
And its up to developers to add them to their old games. Did you not notice that Uncharted has trophies? So now the comparisson can be made between what both achievements and trophies offer?
"The thing I noticed with Uncharted was, and I hope this doesn't carry over to new games that I haven't beat yet, the urge to not so much experience the game as I did the trophy."
Wouldn't it be theoretically impossible for that feeling to carry on in a game that you haven't beat yet? If you've beaten Uncharted 13 times already?
And your logic isn't a Sony specific issue. Its any game with achievements or trophies or medals. If you beat the game several tim...
just how it goes.
Which means what everyone has been saying is true. The xbox fans, are buying a game. But the game isn't moving consoles to new owners.
What else is there to buy that has the hype of gears this year?
nothing.
as if thats some sort of blow or deduction to Sony, yet these are the same people that see no problem calling Bioshock and others 360 "exclusives", and celebrate.
The double standards have got to go.
right?
we all fell for the troll ;\
What is a Lair title? Because the only downfall of lair, was its 6 axis only controls. There is more wrong with the game if you've actually played it, but nothing major.
So please, enlighten us on how an FPS is going to become a Lair? When this game has hype and infamy dating back to 2005? I know its a general fanboy bashing term to use. But how can you compare the two? Games that fall short of hype aren't ps3 specific.
That must be the issue? People are stubbornly fixating on that idea that Sony lied about 4d and CGI visuals.
These are the same people that praise COD4/Halo3 yet can't seem to accept that kz2 looks great. I've seen hd footage, and the only better looking game ive seen, is Crysis, and thats not a console game. As far as hard to process things like: Depth of Field, OBJECT motion Blur, Frame Motion Blur, Lighting, Animation, volumetric particles, and great shader detail. Metal sheen...
I've already seen more going on screen, with less frame stuttering than GTA4.
I just want to see how far a sandbox ps3 game can go.
Im not convinced that amazing is appropriate, by watching the gameplay vids, or seeing these stills. And assuming that they are touched up, and still underwhelming.. well that says a ton. The game appears to use the basic "fool the dummies" fx. fog, and quick dof.
Maybe my eyes are broken, because Kameo had better lighting, water, shadow, art design. Banjo looks like its shaders aren't finished. Glass isn't a bit reflective, neither is metal. Its like everything is shad...
Am I the only one completely disappointed that yet again, my Crysis rig will only be *needed* to play Crysis, and maybe STALKER? Score another one for the console that caused this game to run-like-it visually with specs from 2005. Yea, the textures will be crisper, and we get a higher resolution. Wow. And none of any sort of advanced fx to put said super computers to work.
Anyone remember how Farcry1 crippled machines? Remember when you USED to have to make a slight upgrade for ...
But hats off to you for putting yourself out there for help.
You've proven you don't have the temerity to respond.
As this industry grows more and more we are going to start seeing a cleaning effect happen with our journalism. With websites being called "trusted sources" like Eurogamer\Edge there is something clearly wrong with journalism. Gamespot can get busted for accepting money for reviews, and no one bats an eye? I'm sure that Gamespot isn't the only one that is "influenced."
There is a clear bias in this gens journalism. Double standards run rampant, it sucks becau...
The place where PS3 fans will always have a place... :)
With COD4, you have to mute idiots just as you do on xbl because they are ruining your game experience. I have to throw a huge BS card though if you claim you've only ran into 10 people talking through maybe.. 8 hours of online gameplay to get 55? 10 people talking is 1 match.
I think the logic is because the 360 comes with a xbox only headset, and that means everyone will be on the mic. Where as the Ps3 comes with the ability for modern human beings to use their bluetooth headset...
