Being a PS3 gamer first and foremost I also have to say that this game was the reason I picked up an XBOX last month.
Now Ive played both gears, MW2 again, Left 4 Dead 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, and of course Alan Wake. I am glad I finally got around to getting an XBOX and I really like the community so far.
Same here. I saw the vids and I thoguht the PS3 version looked on par. I have been playing this on my PS3 and I thinl the graphics are really nice. I dont get all the hoopla.
Dead Space?
I have a paid subcription on PSN. Its called Qore for $25 annually. I really havent gotten that much out of it and think it could be a way better product. Xbox Live Gold is twice as much, roughly $4 bucks a month and after spending about two weeks playing with my friends online I really feel like that its worth the price of admission.
I cant wait for them both at E3 then we will really know.
I own a PS3 and an XBOX and am a Gold member. I recently got my XBOX and I am suprised at how much more seemless and effortless online gaming is on Live. Sony needs to charge for a "gold" type service. Certainly Microsoft hasnt been hurt too much by a paid service.
I dont think Alan Wake only being on XBOX is a great thing. We as gamers lose out. I think it would have been cool to see this on PC or PS3 for sure. I feel for gamers who don't own a PS3 and will never experience Infamous, Uncharted, Killzone 2, Resistance, Metal Gear Solid 4, and LittleBigPlanet to name a few. I bought an XBOX to play Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Gears, and Fable, maybe Mass Effect as well, but I'm getting Red Dead for my PS3. Oh the decisions.
Bioshock opening was copied from Half-Life 1.
You stole the words out of my fingers. HL1's tram sequence, still to this day, does more to immerse the player in the gameworld than most games. It was so far ahead of its time. This article is total bunk! Besides HL1 there are a ton of other game openers that are better than this list.
PS: I cant wait for Black Mesa: Source!!!
I am personally going to watch some of my favorite westerns this week like Silverado, Unforgiven, Wyatt Earp, Tombstone, Young Guns, 3:10 to Yuma, and The Quick and the Dead. That should keep me busy and get me all pumped.
Thats what I love about this game, replayability. My first play through I am going to be Mr. Nice Guy which is my favorite way to play games like these. I will do every thing in my power to help people and do the right thing. Once I am finished, however, I will load a new game and be the roughest and toughest outlaw in the west. I'll let the devil come out. Without hesitation I will kill anyone who annoyed me in the first play through with vengence, muhahaha! It will be like two dif...
I am actually getting ready to buy an XBOX360 this week. I want to get the Splinter Cell Conviction bundle, but the real reason is Alan Wake, holy smokes! Any multiplat's will be on my PS3. The other game Im looking forward to is Fable 3, fo sho! Maybe I will also go and check out Gears.
if it is vietnam i predict instant fail.
I crapped my pants! That was sweet, this will be a loong wait.
be Infamous 2!!
also Syphon Filter would be cool , but I would pass out from awesomeness.
I bought this game on PS3 and I have all 4 characters at level 50. Ive played though the game sucessfully almost 8 times. So how may I ask is this game broken? I havent had one problem with it that was game ending.
Doesnt Sony already have subscribers? Qore anyone? What ever, as long as the base online stuff remains.
I just finished MW2 and I can say that it wasnt much different from the first. BFBC2 doesnt look that much different from the first one, but it looks way better than what MW2 is. Vehicles and destruction alone crush MW2 and the graphics look almost as good as MW2.
I will play them both, but I know for a fact that BFBC2 will get me to pay online more than MW2 will.
No crap. I totally agree. God forbid Rockstar use a stereotype in one of its games, LMAO, are u effing kidding me!
