I agree. Something about 2d fighting games or 2d platformers makes me feel at home.
For example, I've always liked the 2d Street Fighters better then the 3D ones. Feels like the 3d ones feel stiffer and slower or it could just be me.
Especially when the 2d sprites are as high res and fluid as the one in Arc Systems games.

Then again, I am sure load times with the PS4 should be much faster then that found on current gen systems.
It could help out with reading and writing media such as videos back and forth from the system, I would believe.

Another thing that is shocking is if this is for the current gen, I would be truly amazed at the level Hideo Kojima was able to achieve in terms of graphics.

The graphics quality and level of immersion it brings is what I have been waiting for on consoles.
High quality textures, high poly count etc. makes it so that nothing really sticks out like a sore thumb, which breaks the level of believability and immersion.

I can tell from the PlayStation history and past that the PS4 will have another generation of memorable games. I hope to see some past IP from the PS1 and PS2 get a new release on the PS4.
